Why no star? We've visited many starred restaurants in France that aren't half as fine as this place. Reserved a table for two, arrived a little early and was met by a beautiful young lady who gave us the absolute best attention. Quality of the dinner was as good as any we've found for several months. Excellent wine list and friendly (and appreciated) conversation with the chef / owner. This place isn't cheap (what IS cheap in Switzerland), but it's of high quality and comes with our thumbs-up rating. We will return. Where's the Michelin boys who rate places like this?

We have been visiting La Sitterie for several years now and can honestly say that we have never been disappointed . The chef Jaques is a master in his field, his dishes are a creative and during the years we have been going there we rarely have the same dish twice.The staff are brilliant and make you feel at home and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. We have travelled a lot and eaten in many excellent restaurants but I can honestly say that it's hard to find one that we enjoy eating in as much as this one.
It's fairly small,seating about 24 people so it's necessary to book well in advance. In the summer months there is a really pretty garden you can eat in and at night it looks lovely with fairy lights around. This restaurant is well worth a visit.

We ate lunch in the garden and what a treat it was. Big tables, well spaced (although the cigar smoke from our neighbours was not great), comfortable chairs. Good service, nice bread selection. Then came the food. Foie gras with black rice - fantastic; giant prawns with ginger - lovely; veal and lobster - luxury; quail with foie gras - sumptuous. Great sharing plate of Deserts, coffee and more sweets. Great wine list, inc. half bottles. Not cheap by any stretch of the imagination but very well worth it. We will return.

I went to this restaurant for lunch and was most pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The business lunch is great value for money. I strongly recommend this place. Make sure you book your table in advance.

We were on an organized tour where the food selections were good to pretty good. This restaurant was a nice change and we wish we could have come for a second sitting. The flavors and presentation were superb, and if I could only remember all the details. Suffice to say that if you are within 30 km of this town you must stop in.

When you're just simply tired of Swiss cuisine try this unassuming Asian spot conveniently located on the towns main street. To be straight up, it was the best service we had anywhere in Switzerland, and the food was just as good.

We visited most of the Michelin mentioned restaurants in the Lauterbrunnen valley region during our two week trip to the area. We were surprised that this restaurant received a mention. Our biggest disappointment was the "wild boar" dish which was absolutely not wild boar. We have eaten wild boar many times including at other restaurants in the area. The accompanying dishes were similarly disappointing.

Airtime Cafe is in the centre of Lauterbrunnen and is a great relaxing spot for a breakfast or lunch or just cake and coffee. A wide range of delicious house-made food to choose from. Gluten free options are available. Great coffee served by friendly staff.

Our family with three small grand-children was very well received and all evening we got the best possible attention, it was marvelous. The waiters had such a good way with our grand children - we adored them. We found the whole setting of the restaurant very stylish and every detail to our complete satisfaction. We were all pleased with the food and most impressed by the comprehensive wine list. What else can I say, ah yes, there was an entertainer at the piano who played enjoyable background music. It is not often that I can write such a positive review, but I assure you, it is entirely merited. The performance of the friendly waiters and the kitchen came close to perfection - we were absolutely happy!
