Very disappointed with our food we got last night. Service was good, phoned and ordered and collected- no issues. However, when we opened our tubs, both the chicken korma and tikka masala were like watery soup! .There was no thickness to the sauce at all and both of them had max 9 small pieces of chicken in them. Very disappointed in the view the price of each.

Visited here this Sunday morning with my wife, purely due to the great recommendations about their breakfasts on TripAdvisor, and we were not disappointed.
Breakfasts are served seven days a week from 10am until 12 noon.
Small breakfasts are £3.50, or the Mighty breakfasts are £4.50.
We opted for the Mighty breakfasts, and they were happy to change my wife's a little, as being a coeliac there were a couple of things she couldn't have, so she got an extra rasher of bacon and an extra fried egg instead.
In our view the Mighty breakfast is tremendous value for money in this day and age at £4.50. For this their normal (by normal I mean standard as in non-coeliac) portion consists of haggis, black pudding, bacon, tomatoes, beans, mushrooms, sausage, lorne sausage, tattie scone, fried egg, toast and a choice of tea or coffee.
Must also add that the chef, and the lady serving were both efficient, helpful and friendly.
Everything was faultless really, and we would have no hesitation in returning.

I can thoroughly recommend the chefs table! We went there for my Dads birthday treat and everyone really enjoyed the whole experience. The chefs Terence and Lucy were friendly and chatted with us and it was really interesting to watch them at work. Watching the frantic work to get meals out on time was facinating- like your very own "Masterchef"! The food was excellent and kids meals well very well received by my two as well -always makes any meal more relaxing if the kids are happy! The waitress Laura was friendly and chatted about the work of the kitchen, nothing was too much trouble and it was so nice to fell welcomed and treated so well. We will be back and Dad loved the meal and the whole experience -don't tell everyone or it will get too busy!!

Jasmine

Reviewed By malc1508 - Glenrothes, United Kingdom

Received a takeaway meal from the Jasmine on a Saturday evening, the Delivery was on time which was an hour and a half after I placed the order which shows how busy they must have been.
Ordered a set meal with two Puris, one Prawn and one Chicken, the chicken one was edible but the prawns were dried and shrivelled and the lot went straight in the bin.
Chicken Madras and Chicken Dopiaza mains were both disappointing due to the chicken being way over cooked & very chewy.
Chips went straight to the bin as they were just a bag of congealed cold greasy potatoes. Nan bread was cold and tough.
I have used the Jasmine on numerous occasions and have noticed recently that the quality is not what it used to be.
I may give them another chance in the future.. undecided at present.

Kept this place till the last day of our stay (since it was the highest rated in the village). Got there at 3.53 and were turned away (though closing time is 5pm on their website). A curt ‘Kitchen is closing’
So, we didn’t get to sample the food; but if this kind of work ethic is anything to go by it was probably just as well!
