In the beginning it was a beach shack but has progressed to a more café over the years adding tables and chairs and restrooms. The relaxed atmosphere can still be found with most patrons in their beach attire in the afternoons and early evenings. There is a daily special which includes beef, fish or chicken with rice, beans and a salad enough for two or more. The food has been inconsistent as of late, use your best judgement.

Friendly staff in a wonderful environment. Not by the sea, but close to other restaurants. A place to go, since the pizza is also very very good. The quality vs price is excellent.

Whenever I'm in Maresias, I like to eat there. The atmosphere is pleasant, informal and friendly.The decoration in the restaurant is tastefully chosen. I find the countless African and Asian masks, which hang on the walls particularly impressive.
It is a beach restaurant that usually is.very well attended. I have already ordered the most different dishes there. I was always satisfied.
The Restaurant also has a large car park. A really nice restaurant.

I liked very much the decoration and furniture. It´s a very confortable place even in hot days. People is always smiling. Food has a good taste, was finely displayed. Considering a place with extremely expensive restaurants and very bad ones, this is the ONLY option.

Good quality and real beach food options in the menu, also if you are looking for a comfortable place with beach service they offer parasol and chairs.

Italian restaurant with the Chef Vincenzo who has extensive experience in contemporary dishes but does not cease to maintain the tradition of handmade pasta, fresh bread and tomato sauce prepared in the house. The menu is quite varied with seafood, fish, meat and vegetarian dishes to suit all tastes, including dishes with thought for the ones who are always welcome. Warm greeting by the chef himself who hails from Naples. Only one server--what happens when it gets busy? My risotto was excellent & the rest of my gang loved their various pastas. I didn't care much for the sauce on my veal pieces, but the accompanying spaghetti was delicious--ate every bit. There were a few noisy children-but, that's common in Brazilian restaurants. We had a good time & everyone was stuffed when we left.

Service is all over the place. The guy with ponytail is well trained and gets his job. The girls are really badly trained and couldn't care less.
Food is OK (overpriced for what it is but in line for local standards). Don't expect anything special, but a solid OK.

My husband and I were visiting Maresias and had dinner here one evening. It is a small casual restaurant that specializes in many flavors of empanadas. We each ordered two empanadas, which was sufficient for dinner. We tried the shrimp, calabresa, spinach, and chicken. They all looked different, and the flavors were excellent.
The service was very slow, and at several times if felt that they forgot about our table. I'm not sure why this happened, because the restaurant isn't that big. Our waiter was very uncomfortable opening the bottle of wine, and I think he just needed a little training about wine. The service improved as the end of the meal when another person started working our table.
The evening ended with a doce de leite empanada, which I would definitely recommend. The flavors at this restaurant are outstanding!

Great choice for good food and beach view. In the nights they have live soft music, perfect to chill out with girlfriend, friends and alone!
