We (a group of four mature age Australian tourists) took a punt on this restaurant for a dinner to mark the last night of our three night stay in Listvyanka. We wanted an eatery without pretences. We struck lucky.
The decor inside Baikal Dreams is fairly basic, but clean, comfortable and welcoming. Service was slow but very friendly. Not a lot of English is spoken, but there are a couple of copies of the menu in English. Russian guests at an adjoining table were happy to help us out.
We had a three course dinner including 2 bottles of Spanish red wine with entree and mains, plus a half bottle of Russian cognac with dessert - total cost for four was close enough to US$100. This included a 10% tip (Aussies do tip when they feel the service warrants it :-))
Menus change of course but we would recommend: Entree - "Royal Assortment" fried chicken livers, potato fritters and half capsicums stuffed with cheese and macaroni; Main Course - Fried pork with mushrooms and onion; Dessert - ice cream with pine nuts and honey.
Summing up: Laid back, good humoured evening; tasty, filling and really cheap food, and a reasonable range of wines. One of the best nights out we had in Russia. We would certainly visit this establishment again.

We visites this restaurant twice as we were very satisfied the first time. Food is good (especially the fish and side dishes). There is an English menu. The waither speaks very little English but he is trying real hard and is friendly which is more important than the level of his English i think. Prices are medium (around 300R for the fish). Good location

Ordered a salad and a main course. Enjoyed both dishes on the terras overlooking the boulevard. The menu is in English and the staff understands English as well. The food was good and so was the local draught beer to wash it down.

The service was good. They didn't speak very much English but we really appreciated their effort.
The menu was small but the food was good. There was an English translation of some of the menu outside.
The food is cooked over an open fire It looked like.
We tried a salad, baked potato, veg and local fish. Each dish was good.
The baked potato was around 320, the fish around 690 and the veg around 390 Rubbles.
The beer on tap was tasty and they served a litre hug of berry juice which also good.
Food for four came to 3800 with drinks.

We had lunch here, arriving just before a large group. Salads came relatively quick and were really nice & tasty. Together with the salads already the first main course and one side dish was served. Then we had to wait 45 minutes, for the next 2 main courses, which were of lower quality. Then my youngest daughter was getting really hungry, because she had to wait another 20 minutes for her spaghetti. Only after all main courses were finished, the second side dish was served. We asked several times, every time we would only had to wait a few more minutes (which was a lie, accompanied by no excuse by the staff at all for the waiting). After some time, the staff seemed to try and evade us, by taking walking routes to the kitchen to not pass our table.

Не знаю, зачем этому кафе дали такое название, ведь там можно и чай со слойками попить) это кафе находится внизу горнолыжного центра, поэтому открыто для всех посетителей, в выходные дни здесь многолюдно. Интерьер простой, деревянные стены, столы с клеёнкой, пара старых сноубордов на стене. Можно заказать шашлык) цены средние

I went to this cafe after a long walk and i was really hungry. When I entered the empty restaurant I already thought something must be wrong here. They gave me a menu and turned up the volume of the music, it was very loud. I ordered pancakes with salmon - and became three greasy mini-potato pancakes with a slice of salmon. The waiter forgot to bring me fork and knife, I had to get that myself. The dish tasted like nothing. When I finished the dish and still had a full tea in front of me the server braught me the bill immediately. Compared to other eating options in this town - this was expensive, of very poor quality and the service a complete failure.

The restaurant of hotel Mayak is one of the best dining options in Listvyanka. It's not expensive, the food is very good and the wait not long at all. We dined both nights we stayed in the hotel in the restaurant as it was very convenient for us. Try some of the local fish!

Recommended by Lonely Planet for breakfast, so there we went. It was just before 11 and breakfast was only possible until 11. We were told they ran out of eggs so they couldn't offer us their breakfast menu. We opted for some sweet pastry and coffee. When we nearly finished some small groups of Russian speaking guests entered, surprise; after 15 minutes they all received different types of breakfast. Even though their English wasn't very good they could have at least apologized. Would not recommend.
