This place was rated pretty high so we decided to give it a go. Parking not so good for trucks with trailers. We ordered a French fries app and they give you a spicy sauce and what seemed to be homemade ketchup it had a taste like a V-8. The fries were really good and the pizzas were good but their selection of pizzas lacks a little for my liking. This place is probably more for the college crowd than a group of hungry men. This place is located in shopping district of old town and has abundance of other food choices in the area and plenty of shopping.

This is one of the best vegan restaurants in Lawrence. They have multiple veggie patties, at least two of which are definitely vegan and they even have vegan hamburger buns, which are a pretty rare find. My favorite is the black bean patty.

They have generous servings of fries, and both the regular and sweet potato fries are delicious. They also have a fantastic beer selection.

It gets pretty loud and crowded whenever there's a KU game on TV, so it's best to pay attention to the schedule.

It was a basketball game day, so it was crowded, and they do not take reservations. So we ate dinner early so we could attend the game.

They have some excellent beers with a good range for everyone. There food is very good and they have a nice variety of items on the menu. One of my go-to meals is the fish and chips, and there are three large pieces.

Since 2009...award winning, locally owned and operated downtown restaurant featuring inspired handmade food, inventive cocktails and an extensive wine list.

We are new to Lawrence, and read that 715 was a top restaurant for special occasions. We decided to go there for my birthday last Saturday night.

We arrived at 5:30 and were placed at a table for two near the back of the restaurant, even though the restaurant was mostly empty. The ambiance was very nice, with candles everywhere. We had high hopes for a special meal.

We both ordered a starter and an entree. I had the special kale mixed salad and my hubby had the cauliflower soup. My salad was good, with lots of healthy items, and my husband's soup was very average and just lukewarm.

My husband had just finished his soup, and I was half-way through my salad, and the waitstaff brought our entrees. (This is NOT how you do it folks! You wait until both customers are finished with their first course give them a couple minutes to anticipate the second course, then serve it.) I still had half my salad in front of me, so the lady placed my mushroom lasagna to the side, and the table barely had room for our drinks and the plate in front of us.

My hubby had the tuna spaghetti, which he said was just OK....nothing special, and my meal did not taste fresh or unique. It tasted like a warmed up frozen vegetable lasagna. It was smothered with cream sauce and there was very little lasagna underneath.

Really disappointing experience!! We were only there 50 minutes and spent more than $70.00 for a less than average meal with poor service. We did not even order drinks!

We will NOT return. There are MANY other good options in this lovely town. I am not sure why they are highly rated, but they missed on ALL accounts for our first and last visit.

Came here for a business breakfast meeting and really liked the food and the experience. I liked the fact that the coffee is self-service and you can get whatever you want whenever you want. I had an omelet and it was very well prepared. Service was good and I am dying to go back for the French Toast, which I saw others getting and looked great. I love local places and this is a place I'd like to come back to try for lunch.

This is our favorite barbeque restaurant in Lawrence, Kansas. We especially like the tasty beef brisket sandwiches with fries. On nights that we don't feel like cooking or getting dressed up, it is so convenient to go through the "drive through" at Biemer's.. The staff is prompt and friendly.

February 2, 2018 - We sat on third floor. We had wine, lamb stew, and potato soup before our entree. The soup and lamb stew was almost cold,,,,, was luke warm. We told the waiter to make sure the entrees came out hot. The entrees were luke warm too. There is no excuse for that... The wince glasses we 1/4 full for 9 or 10 bucks.... that is cheap and chinsey.

Hard wooden chairs from a garage sale... The food flavor was really good. I loved the rabbit and also loved the lamb stew but because it wasn't hot it was sorta like eating left overs.

This is a favorite, and never disappoints. Had the roast beef po boy and it was the best roast beef ever! Super tender and so full of flavor, the bun was crusty and beautiful! Also had the hush puppies, which are a must! Crunchy on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside. They don't need any sauce, but the po boy sauce is very good on the hush puppies!

Ladybird Diner

Reviewed By Dmarkwind - Kansas City, Missouri

I stopped here with a group of coworkers on the way back from a meeting in another city. This place had been highly recommended by yet another associate, so we decided to try it. I wasn’t especially impressed: food choices were mostly limited to heavy comfort foods; even though we were here well after the lunch rush, the service was very slow; and the prices seemed high. I had a chicken sandwich and fries (which I had to order separately) and water to drink, and my bill was about $15. I’ve heard their pie is good, but had spent enough for lunch. The sandwich was good, but not good enough to be excited about coming back or recommending this place very highly. There are definitely better, faster, and cheaper options on Mass street!
