Ichiran is a chain ramen place but it is very good, their unique selling point is their special hot red pepper sauce they serve with their ramen and that you can customise the basic ramen. You can choose the strength of stock, the firmness of the noodles and how much hot sauce you want on a survey form. They use a tonkontsu (pork) stock and you have the option of ordering extra noodles or other extras once you have begun to eat.
The Seating in at individual booths with a shutter were the staff pass the ramen through to you, you order with one of the vending machines to get tickets for your order. My husband and I don't speak or read Japanese and we managed perfectly well. They gave us the order form for extras and to customise our ramen in English.
The ramen was excellent and it is quite cosy in the basement of this place, it was busy but the tables turn over quickly as lots of people arrive alone and eat quickly. It's amazing value at ¥790 for the basic ramen, water dispensers are provided at the booths so you don't need to buy a drink if you don't fancy cold tea or beer which are the only drinks on offer.
It is quite tricky to find, but well worth it. It is off the main square near Shinbashi station, with the station behind you look for the 7-11 on the corner, it is 2 or 3 doors to the right, it a building with other restaurants, one says Grill with a picture of a cow, it is one flight down, you won't se the name Ichiran until you get inside and see the vendor.
It took us ages to find but it was well worth it!

イオンレイクタウンに電車で行くのは珍しいですが、せっかく電車にしたので、ちょっと呑んでいこうということで、ヴィレッジヴァンガードダイナーに行ってみました。その前に、なぜか「タイガー本舗」にて、生カラセット500円×二人前で、勢いをつけてから、いよいよのヴィレヴァンダイナーです。
数年前に、1～2度来たことがありますが、久しぶりの訪問になります。チーズバーガーを2つ、飲み物は+300円（税抜）でカールスバーグセットとなります。
1000円超えのバーガーなので、高いと言えば高いですが、旨いと言えば旨いでしょう。なんじゃそりゃ。
テーブルには、写真を撮るために、お店のロゴを入れたスペースがあるので、そこにお皿を置くと、良い感じで写真が撮れます。バーガー屋さんらしいアイディアです(^O^)
お店の雰囲気は、50～70年代のアメリカでしょう。あの頃のアメリカ文化は、我々の憧れでした。あの頃に、このお店があったなら、ものすごい人気店だったでしょうね。しばし、アメリカン・グラフィティ気分をチーズバーガーとともに味わう夕方でした。

Always delicious, fresh food, the service is nice and polite. I love their tiramisu and beef stew, highly recommended. A few years ago I had risotto as well, and as I remember it was also very deliciously. Been there a lot of times since the first time I came in 2012, latest visit was August 2016. :)

東川口駅徒歩5分。パン屋さんの2階がカフェになっています。
初めて入ったお店ですが，皆さんがキノコのクリームスープを頼んでいたので，
同じ物と，マルゲリータピザを。
お店は禁煙で，心地よく，御料理も，大変美味しかったです。
