The decor is fantastically over the top from the saddle bar stools, indian and cowboy weaponry on the walls, the lifesize, weaved horses, the wood carvings outside. The food has been excellent every time I have ever eaten here over the last 15 years. The steaks are delicious, the choice of meat cuts, vegetables and potatoes, soups, salads are immense. The German Railways offers special deals on a Wednesday during the summer, from Straubing and other stations, train ticket, tour guide and a meal at the restaurant Rozvoj in Klatovy. This is a great place to stop over when visiting the world famous Catacombs.
As this was a fixed price meal for a group, there was no chance to see the menu, but what was provided was of good quality, with friendly staff.

Arriving in a new town it is always hard to know a good place to eat. We were part of a group of people that had traveled by train from Bayerish Eisenstein. The restaurant was pre-booked but was a very good choice. Service was excellent and friendly. Whilst we had a fixed menu there was a good menu to chose from.
Easy to find near to the town centre.

After a long time, I found a fantastic restaurant with home made international cuisine, with a focus to high quality food product.Top quality, presentation on plate and taste of meals brings you to qourmet nirvana. The restaurant do not pretent to be michelin star restaurant, but humble approach to guest and very attentive and pleasant service, will tell you, you are among the people they know their craft. Prices are VERY affordable for quality you get, and in capital city Prague, into my opinion you would pay for same quality min. double to triple price... I wish to owner and staff to keep the same approach also in future, because for sure I have not been there for the last time. From my perspective, everyone MUST try...

Excellent home made lemonade (raspberry), good coffee, tasty sandwiches, home made french potatoes, selection of (czech) magazines, sandpit for kids on the backyard. Unobtrusive music, nice interior. Friendly nice service. Pleasant place to rest, kids will be happy here.

Pretty cosy place with vegetarian and raw food. The staff is kind and willing to help with anything (calling a cab, do something special to drink when flu hitting on you). So far my fave place in Klatovy!

After several visits, I can really recommand this place in Klatovy. Very good "pub food" (burgers, steaks, quesadillas), it was always very tasty. Portions are big, and the price is quite reasonnable. They serve Kozel from the tank.

Majitelia vedia že majú problémy s muchami, tak máte na každom stole placačku na muchy. Je to ale dosť nechutné...Deti (aj niektorí dospelí) si krátia (dosť dlhé) čakanie na obsluhu tým že na stoloch vraždia muchy. Fuj. Jedlo je priemerné, na tom čo majú v ponuke sa ale veľa skaziť na druhej strane nedá. Ak sa chystáte navštíviť hrad Velhartice, najedzte sa radšej tam, v reštaurácii u Hradního sládka.

Посмотрев водный град Швигов, мы с моим спутником и гидом Андреем Горбуновым немножко отклонились от маршрута и заглянули в село Худеницы (755 жителей на 2015 год) что в Пльзеньском крае. Естественно, целью отклонения было посещение очередного забавного минипивовара – «Stará škola». Почему забавного??? Да потому, что одна лишь эмблема пивовара – эдакая стилизованная Смерь (правда без главного атрибута – косы), выглядывающая из-за пивного бокала – уже КаГБэ намекает, что у здешних пивных «шаманов» есть чувство юмора!!! Представьте ситуацию: на «котлах» полдень, мы такие симпатичные и страдающие от жажды вваливаемся в деревенскую ресторацию, а там – аншлаг!!! Весь зал (по моим скромным прикидам – человек на 70-80) плотно забит разновозрастной и разнополой группой аборигенов, что-то весело отмечающей. Мдааааааа, видимо мы попали на какое-то всесельское празднество. Естественно, вычепному и официантам явно не до нас – все носятся как угорелые, только успевая подносить пиво и хавчик и забирать использованную посуду и бокалы. Но уезжать вот просто так я не мог себе позволить – Андрею таки удалось уломать вычепного, тот проникся темой «известный российский пиволюб-турист, случайно заглянувший в Худеницы» (это он так обо мне), после чего предложил нам присесть в «заградке (открытая площадочка на улице со столиками и лавками). Меня даже не испугало то, что «за бортом» температура была что-то около 8-10 градусов тепла всего. Сели, мне приволокли миску горяченной полёвки (обыкновенный вывар с нудлями – бульон с лапшой) для сугрева и всё имевшееся в тот момент на вычепе пиво: 12° Houwárek - pivo ležák světlé, nefiltrovaný, 13,5° Sukuba - pivo speciál tmavé, nefiltrovaný и 14° Hopkirk IPA - pivo speciál, nefilrované. Не знаю что обозначает наименование «дванадцатки» (переводчик-Google реально тупит), но вот «суккуба», на сколько мне известно – этттт в средневековых легендах – демонесса похоти и разврата, посещающая ночью молодых мужчин и вызывающая у них сладострастные сны. Кстати, и «Хоуварек», и «Суккуба» реально понравились, а вот ИПА показался жидковат для индийского эля. Посещение заведения мне обошлось в 131 крону (ваще смех!!!). Я потом пошарился по «нутрянке» ресторации и пофотал тамошний антураж. Особливо мне приглянулись картинки, рекламирующие здешние пивасы (см. соответствующее фото). И ещё – на сайте заведения я вычитал, что само здание пивоварни и ресторации расположено в бывшем помещении некоей старой школы, которая, в свою очередь, была построена на месте древнего кладбища. Поэтому каждый сорт здешнего пива содержит в себе немного тайны и приносит пьющему безотчетное удовольствие. А девиз пивовара – «Pivo s duсhem» (Пиво с душой/сердцем)!!!

I went there several times in November and December 2016, usually early evening, so I cannot comment on opening hours.
Warm environment, reasonably priced Italian cuisine. Free Wifi - many restaurants in Klatovy do NOT offer wifi!
Service - especially the male waiter was good - he always delivered the English menu to me - one small improvement - offer cracked black pepper to some of the dishes, eg Fettucini carbonara should always have a sprinkle of cracked black pepper, I did tell the waitress, but she ignored the recommendation. Will certainly go there again especially in winter months.
