Called in to grab something to eat on the way from the airport to our B and B. We all had the Breakfast, which was hearty, well cooked and nicely presented, with coffee and a large orange juice. Really friendly place and a nice pint of Guinness too. Very interesting display about US Irish veterans and 9/11 firemen of Irish descent.

Well worth a visit even to hear the tales from the fantastic bar staff and incredibly loyal local customers ..
It’s a gem ! & run to perfection by its owners Mary & Pearse O Sullivan who are very much part of the Craic that is found in this amazing Bar & Restaurant -
...
The lunch time trade is so special and can go terribly wrong as it’s hard to leave ! ...,The menu offers a fantastic variety to suit all tastes ! My favourite being the selection of oysters available ! ... eg Bloody Mary oysters !..
I love it so much that you can definitely find me at least once a week if not 2/3 !
The ambience is tremendous and the glowing fires add something extra special to this beautiful bar on the sea ..
Extra special thanks to Mary & Pearse this week ( storm Emma) who saved all the locals from starving and opened up to feed us !
Very loyal to their customers indeed ! ....
10/10 guys !
Ye so deserve it ❤️

Bruno's

Reviewed By Jim R

I've eaten here at least half a dozen times, the pizzas are really great with top quality ingredients, the place also has a really nice buzz, however, and this is a big however, as it actually outweighs the positives above, their opening times are very unpredictable. I've made 4 attempts in the last 12 months to make a booking only to find out that they were closed The last time was just over 3 weeks ago. I was told that they were opening for a few days at the start of December and that they weren't sure after that. I now see buried in their Facebook page (I'm not sure this is the best medium alone to sell a restaurant) that they have been closed for pretty much all of December and not opened until the 29th. I'd probably forgive all this if it weren't for the attitude of the person I spoke to on the phone the last two times. I felt that my enquiry was an inconvenience and they whole tone was quite condescending, what's the attitude about? I was looking to give them some business!
I wouldn't be bothered considering it as an option the next time I'm in Kinsale again, I'm beginning to wonder if Bruno's is just a pet project and they don't really need the money and open and close when it suits them.

Had time permitted we would have gone back to eat another day. on our to do list for next trip.
