Directed to restaurant by nearby guesthouse. Typical German style Gasthof in a quiet village. Service was pleasant and prompt. They has a seasonal menu of asparagus, which was excellent as well as the usual hearty fare. All was well cooked and well priced. No hesitation in recommending if passing through.

I had "Pappardelle with fresh yellow boletuses and bacon in a whitewine-onion sauce". This was a meal from the weekly menu card and it was delicious. The service is great as always - friendly and fast. The table decoration is nice. In warmer days you also can enjoy the beer garden. It's a nice place for kids as well. There is a playground close to the restaurant. The place is save because there's less road traffic.

Truly a great gourmet restaurant with pretty view to the park which lays behind the castle.
The service was excellent, especialy the restaurant manager who is also the sommelier. We had 3 courses icl 2 side courses which well thought. combined and served. The house-apperitiv was yummy too. The menu is shown with description on my photos.
Ms Julia Komp, the youngest Michelin Starred Female Chef, brought us the refined selection of Pralines. A nice way to greet her guests!
This restaurant offers events regularly. The arrangement costs around 110-150 € without pairing wine.

We stopped by for dinner, driving from Como, Italy. Nice Terrace, also in bench-style, but quite a lot of people enjoying the food. Typical German food I would say, also big portions. All the food looked very tasty, so I just ordered what someone next to me ordered:) Glad I did:) Very tasteful. The staff was very helpful, explaining the typical german dished.

Well, I went to get a hamburger, and besides the peculiarity of the floor covered with sand there is nothing noteworthy in this place. Their hamburger was not above the level of decent fast food chain stuff, mine was actually dry and with very little taste. The quality does not justify their prices.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank the owner and the waiter for their very friendly welcome. The restaurant was packed, the menu card was short, which denotes freshness, and the food I chose was excellent and original. As I am often in this town for business, I will certainly come back to this welcoming restaurant.

We enjoyed our meal here in Alt Buir, especially because of the great staff. You can see the host really enjoys working in his restaurant.
It was nice to have some genuine Chevapcici again. Since the portion size was 3, but only two were served, they came a bit later with with not just one chevapcici, but a whole extra plate ! Too friendly.
The grilled pork was a bit dry, unfortunately.

Came in following advice from a local collegue, which was the best advice I had on a restaurant in a long time. Very friendly staff, very nice atmosphere, very good meat and sides and sauces. If you are satisfied by the day specials price is extremely convenient, otherwise is definitely a fair price anyway. I want to come at least a second time for one of their hamburgers, which I saw being served and looked and smelled great.
