My family and I just went today to celebrate my sister's birthday and I have to say that we had a great time. The ambience of the restaurant it is romantic and familiar at the same time. I had their signature margarita ( that is a mix of strawberry and passion fruit, and it has alcohol lol), for appetizers we ordered croqueta of fish, fried calamari, mozzarella sticks, and eggplant Parmesan. For the main course we had churrasco 8onz which is pretty big, pasta of 4 cheese, lasagna, chicken fingers and a burger.

We were in Jarabacoa for a weekend and ate here for dinner. We had a couple of the pasta dishes and a chicken dish. We LOVED the Quatro queso pasta. The other dishes were okay. Not bad, just average. It was also an average price range. I would recommend them for their variety of food choices, price, and decent food quality. It was very crowded, so obviously was popular with locals, which says a lot!

I wasn't expecting much but we wanted a quick lunch before heading out of town. We sat between the restaurant and the ice cream parlor next door and we were served quickly. The food was really tasty actually. They have hamburgers, burritos, sandwiches - and a very good HOT SAUCE! You have to ask for it but its quite nice. Home made and goes well on all of the above.

Food was excellent. We order a variety of meats "Parrillada" and the favors, temperature and presentation were superb.
Definitely a place to relax and have great food as well as relaxing atmosphere.
Service was excellent and prices were very reasonable ....!

This is an excellent place for lunch or dinner. The quality of the food is awesome, delicious and nicely presented .
The pizza is a must try A mega size pizza with exact portion of each ingredient makes it an awesome one.
The place is great value for money.

Based on the available options I would say this is worth a stop. It may have been what we ordered but we weren't blown away. Compared to the other places we stopped by it seems like it was a score. The A/C felt great and there was a clean restroom close by...plus and plus in a small town.

I didn't expect such a nice meal in Jarabacoa but surprise!!! My favorite meal, chicken parmigiana was done perfectly and that says a lot since it can be cooked so many different ways.
The table service, the extras, the service were all really great.
I had no issues at all with neighboring establishments so I don't know what all the fuss was about in one review. It is true however, that in the DR, there are no rules about how load or obnoxious a bar or grocery store can bet with super loud music. So there is little an individual can do since the police also do nothing but ask for money there (they stopped me three times for money so I am not kidding!).
I recommend this restaurant as a must go to if you plan on visiting Jarabacoa.

This cafe was referred for it's drinks, Mojitos in particular. I tried the passion fruit margarita, mojito, and also their cappuccino. All three were very good. I recommend this cafe if you are looking for a quiet place to grab a drink and a bite to eat while enjoying a book or internet Surfing. The good thing about Maya's coffee lounge is that Moshe is right next door and you can actually order food from them without leaving your table.
The owner and staff is very polite and sandwiches at Moshe are excellent.

Romantic restaurant in a wooden chalet with garden , Italian cuisine and pizza from a wood oven. Homemade pasta, important products, good choice of Italian wines. Very natural and simple cuisine with fresh ingredients. Suitable for children, and dogs allowed.

Good place to go for dinner. Been several time with my wife or friends. Marco is very welcoming and staff is good. Wonderful food.

Everything I had was very good, drinks are amazing and the service is very good. Try the pizza and the the lasagna and you will be very happy about going to Plaza Alterra. If you are in the area don't miss it.
