Babb's Coffee House

I know coffee and I appreciate fresh food. This place has it all: great coffee, great food and very nice staff. The hours are very convenient too. It is located in downtown Jamestown. It is a welcome relief from the boring bland and predictable chain restaurants along highway 94.

Sabir's is very inviting with an excellent bar tender who makes everyone feel welcome.
They have a good selection of alcoholic beverages including my favorite Scotch. Coke products are served.
We thoroughly enjoyed our Taco Flatbread and spicy shrimp pasta dishes.
The service was most attentive and friendly.
ENJOY!

Your typical DQ Grill. Burgers and Fries and all the ice cream treats you heart desires. Place is clean. Small seating area inside. Food is good as is the ice cream. Good place to take the kiddies.

If you’re looking for relaxed, upscale dining - this is the wrong atmosphere. It’s more college cafeteria than what you’d expect from a #1 ranked restaurant on TripAdvisor. We were looking for something less casual so I can’t speak to the food quality though it sounds, based on reviews, delicious.

The food has always been very good, we like to come here whenever we visit Jamestown. They could do a bit better on their margaritas but it's not terrible. The service has mostly been good, we've had a few times where they weren't busy and yet they ignored us to the point we probably could've walked out without paying the bill that they never gave us while we sat there with empty plates in front of us. Just stand at the register till they notice you.

After reading the TA reviews we decided to pursue this pizza place.... despite previous wonderful food and service at Sabirs Buffalo Grill just 3 doors down.

We ordered a local beer, and simple (no fuss) Margaretta, Thai Salad, and "hand thrown" Margaretta pizza recommended by the server (as opposed to a thin crust as advertised on the menu).

Margaretta arrived after waiting 11 minutes and was brownish in color. Flavor was hickory or maple. Couldn't find a server to explain the taste or flavor... (some kind of agave?)

Thai salad was served by a third person who could only tell us this was NOT a chicken ceasar salad (good thing as we ordered the Thai Salad) and presented a pizza with more bread showing than topping. Basil was fresh, no garlic or oil anywhere (as described), 4 slices of tomato and a small splattering of cheese. Two slices of pizza had no cheese on them. Waited 11 minutes to get the attention of a fourth server, who agreed that there was not much cheese on the bread. Sent it back to the pizza guys at the oven where there were grimaces until the server pointed out the guests were sitting near by.

Forget this place. Terrible service, Terrible food, Overpriced.
These guys have a great food opportunity that needs to be seriously reviewed and revamped.

Walking up the stairs, through a gift shop, into a rustic cafeteria style dining room, certainly did not raise my expectations for food quality. Its like family style, cafeteria and un-fancy dusty trail old west meet with a bar on the side. The service staff matched the decor. That's not usually our thing but the food was better than average. The stairs lead up to a third floor lookout (can't really call it a terrace) that is sort of neat to hang out with a couple of cold ones.

Pita Palace

We stopped for dinner as a halfway point between Fargo and Bismarck. I was expecting more of a Mediterranean restaurant (Greek salads, hummus, babaganoush, spanakopita, etc.) but while they do have gyros, most of the menu items are not Mediterranean. That said, we both got the gyro ($9), which was very good and large (we probably could have split it). We also had the fries for a dollar extra, and they were really good. In a town that seems to have mostly fast food restaurants, the Pita Palace is a nice alternative.

This is a good truck stop restaurant. It tends to be very busy with locals. Prices are average and the service is good. Meals are reasonably sized and tasty. They're closed 2200 - 0500, which makes it difficult for truck drivers to get a late evening meal.

This is one place I wouldn't recommend. The chips were stale, the salsa should be called "saltsa". The shredded chicken in my taco salad definitely came out of a can. Not much flavor at all.
