We got in to this restaurant by accident while driving through Slovenia. It just happens to be locally famous for its great food. You can spot it by the bbq in the front of the restaurant where they bbq. Our meal was delicious: beef soup, wiena steak, apple strudel. Delicious!! Fast service, friendly staff. Defo a great place to stop by for a home made meal.

The place is signalled somewhere on the road between Croatia (Split) and Italy (Trieste). I think the location is better than the average pork shop you can find a-plenty along the road, because, well, it's not on the front of the road, but some 1-ish km far from the traffic jams.
We've been there during summer. They roast this pork basically all day long (not the same one, I guess they put a new one when finishing serving the previous one...), so you can eat at whatever time you get there (I've started eating my salad at 5:30pm). The service is very good, the guys are kind, the restroom is OK. We've tried the pork, a salad, and gnocchi with truffle, and all was excellent. We ate in four and just spent 232 kunas (32 euros), so I'd say it's reasonably cheap too.

We have salad and two pizzas and for dessert pancakes. All was really tasty. They are friendly. Prices are normal. It's nice ambient .

Not the most salubrious of establishments opposite the station on the main road but do no be put off
Very friendly staff who speak excellent English and full of locals having lunch
Ask for the Slovenian sausage with fried mashed potatoes and cabbage. They add grated pork crackling over the top. It is amazing, and cheap!

abbiamo pranzato qui in una deserta giornata assolata di ottobre. All'inizio eravamo gli unici avventori poi qualcuno è arrivato....
Si mangia bene e si spende poco o non troppo.
Ci hanno offerto all'inizio delle buonissime bruschette con pancetta. OTTIME !!
Ho preso la grigliata di carne....veramente abbondante e la carne l'ho trovata tenera e gustosa. Gli altri hanno gustato dei ravioli istriani che direi sono stati ottimi.
Per il dessert ho assaggiato una crostata di prugne ....buona e fatta artigianalmente.
Personale gentile e premuroso.

I will tell you on short way.. if you are taking a trip to Croatia and you are driving by Morski Konjiček, you just have to stop there and try their simple but delicious food. Location of the restaurant is beside the main road to Croatian border so just stop there, take a break and try some of their very nice and well priced dishes!

A very pleasant stop in this restaurant where you can have a very good lunch at the right price: meat and pasta are delicious, the waiters are very kind and the service is accurate and quick. Don't miss it!

Gostisce Masun is in a beautiful location, which you can access from the west with an asphalt road and from the East with an enjoyable gravel road in the forest. They serve fresh products, including game (and even bear!). We loved the prosciutto and the venison with morels, for a very reasonable price considering the quality. We would definitely go there again and recommend it to anyone.

A farm on a hill upon the street between Pivka and Ilirska Bistrica ,near village Prem,where was born one of the best slovene poets,is an excellent point to stop and relax if you travel from Trst(Trieste) or from Ljubljana to Rijeka in Croatia. They have rooms and a nice restaurant . We visited them to celebrate our son`s new job. They served us excellent food and very good Refosco and everything was perfect. They cook good slovene food which is a nice mixture of influences from Mediterranian,Austria and Hungary .

This place offers unforgettable moments if you are casual type of a guest. The inside is very unique and gives an interesting atmosphere. The hosts are very pleasant. The food was great, everything homemade and fresh. We were delighted with soup and stew, both with homemade noodles. After dinner we sweeted ourselves with homemade cakes. Worth every penny..
