After having been told about this small family run restaurant by our realtor, we "liked" their Facebook page and were able to see their daily specials posted. We finally made a point of visiting them for dinner.
We were greeted with a smile and seated in a room with a nice pellet stove fire going, a perfect spot for a cool evening.
We decided on starting things with a generous serving of boneless chicken wings with blue cheese dipping sauce...yummy !
Next a nice salad with Italian dressing and then, one of the evening's featured entrees, Chicken Parmesan. Other choices this evening were chicken or Steak Fajitas, Big Boy Burger or Buffalo Chicken Salad; Our chicken was soooo tender with a side of spaghetti topped with beautifully seasoned tomato sauce and Parmesan cheese.
Needless to say when our wonderful server Amanda asked us about dessert, we had to decline !
Throughout the meal, Amanda returned and inquired as to our satisfaction with the meal and to replenish our coffee, tea and water. Toward the end of the meal, the owner, Jackie stopped at our table and welcomed us and asked us about how we enjoyed our meal.
We will return once more before " The Spicy Olive" will go on hiatus for the winter months, allowing the owners a much deserved rest after a great first season. Looking forward to many more visits once they reopen in the spring...just waiting for that first Facebook post.

Arrived for our reservation at 6PM anticipating a busy night due to fish fry special. Drinks were ordered and arrived timely. This is when things went downhill. Sweet potato fries and bacon wrapped scallops were ordered. 40 minutes later they came out. Fries were good but the scallops were uncooked. Waitress came back with half an order, we pointed out that the other three were still on our plates as inedible. She apologized and twenty five minutes they arrived and were very good. Salads with dressings were served while the two of us requesting oil and vinegar waited another twenty minutes for the dressing to arrive. Our entrees were next at 7:45 an hour and forty five after we were seated. They were served warm. Not what I would expect from this restaurant. We have eaten at Ellas several times prior and had been satisfied although the service was friendly but slow. In this case a visit form the manager would have been warranted. No such luck. We will try once again, as we would like to see Ellas remain in the area and perhaps they will consider a food runner and a floor hostess to check on the diners.

This little shop is located on the main street in Alexandria Bay. Interesting little shop specializing in fudge and ice cream. It was a hot afternoon when we stopped so we did not try their fudge, but really enjoyed two generous sized chocolate ice cream sundaes with extra chocolate syrup. Of note, their prices were surprisingly reasonable for a waterfront tourist town.

Gourmet coffee shop with full breakfast and lunch menu. All soups and chili and sauces are homemade. Paninis, deli sandwiches, weekly specials. Come enjoy our quaint cozy bistro with the best coffee and food in town
Cathy's really needs to learn how to make coffee. We don't like floor cleaning coffee, but , every day it lacked coffee house flavor and punch. We stayed in town for a week (we come up yearly). Breakfast is fast, decent and inexpensive. Which is what most people want. Inside its close and compact there is not much room and the serving line forms between the tables. Best bet is to grab something boxed and walk or drive to somewhere senic to eat.

We arrived on a Tuesday night for dinner. The restaurant was standard with seat yourself dining. Most tables in dining room were dirty with exception to the ones marked reserved. Staff seemed overwhelmed. We sat in seating by the bar. Order was taken promptly. Appetizers and salads arrived within reasonable time. Bread was served cold. Entrees luke warm at best. The gnocchi and sauce was good but cold. Wife ordered chicken parmesan, she said it tasted good but was also cold. Chicken fingers and fries were hot. Soup was hot but tasted old. Would have sent entrees back but it had already been a while, placed app and entree order simultaneously. Wait staff was extremely friendly. Waited a very long time for entrees and check. Food was reasonably priced and the waitress didn't charge for dessert because of wait. Would probably not eat here again unless necessary.

We tried the Friday fish fry based on feedback from friends. The place was super-hot; no A/C working. Quite loud, and loaded with flies. Not a good start. One diner's fish fry was large, cooked as ordered, and better than average. The other order was screwed up (wrong type of preparation of the fish) and took a half-hour to get it fixed. When it finally arrived, it was extremely under-cooked, and gave that person a stomach ache. The salads were adequate, but nothing to write home about. The mixed drinks were very fairly priced. The mac and cheese was popular, as were the ribs (we did not try them). Although the fish portions were large for the price, we are not likely to go again under current conditions. We will try JK's for lunch to see if our disappointing experience was an outlier, or a typical dining event.

This is your typical convenience store that also has a good deli/pizza and wings etc. I get most of my gas here as the price is comparable to everywhere else. The food is fine for convenience store food. The Friday night fish fry's are pretty good and the prices are reasonable. The staff is always friendly.

There was an auction being held for a fundraiser the night we were there. It made for a noisy environment. The food was good as was the service.

Very good authentic italian food. Have watched this establishment grown from a few booths and tables to double or triple in size. Food is still very good and made from scratch. Love watching the dough being tossed for pizzas.

I have Celiacs disease and my restaurant options were questionable at Alexandria Bay. Kevin came out of the kitchen at Riley's and discussed options with me. He was very kind and gave me choices that he was comfortable preparing. I appreciate someone that asks questions when they aren't sure what gluten free or Celiac's entails. Samantha was extra sweet and patient as well. I have no complaints.
