Long wait times, lack of competent help. Always high turnover for the many years I've lived here, always advertising for managers in weekly paper. Cutting corners on food prep and quality.

We went to Diane's Diner twice in the last week because the food the is so good! They serve breakfast all day so my son gets the omelette plate and it's very filling and the homemade biscuit is fabulous! They have great catfish and hand-battered onion rings.
We were very pleased with our dining experiences!

We stopped in on our way home from Corpus Christi. We were very satisfied with our experience. They have a large menu with something for everyone. They serve green and red salsa with your meal. Both are very flavorful and excellent. Prices are very reasonable and the servings are quite large. I had the green three cheese enchiladas. They were delicious. My wife ordered chalupas and they were delicious. The staff is very attentive and friendly. We will definitely come back here again.

Arrived here in mid-October 2015 as driving through town. Staff member (one) was very friendly and polite! Had multiple types of kolaches to chose from (including boudin that we'd not seen before), a variety of warm & fresh donuts, as well as warm & fresh crousants with different meats, egg & cheese. Very reasonably priced as well!! Would visit again if in the area!

We have now eaten at this great little place twice! Never have we had such great Italian in a big city or anywhere else! How these folks from Naples found Hallettsville, Texas is a mystery. But we are so glad they did. Highly recommend absolutely anything on the menu!

Since we are locals, we have eaten here several times. The food is very good. I have personally ordered the No-Bun, which is a hamburger with all the trimmings, just minus the bun. Janak's has been a local meat market here for a number of years. I'm not sure when they started serving lunches. This is a definite "must-do" for a great lunch. The sandwiches are all made with their own meats, which are perfectly smoked and lean. If you get the ham sandwich, ask for the sauerkraut on it, if that's your thing, because it is house made also. In addition to a number of customizable sandwiches, other menu items are quite delicious too. Don't forget to shop their meat market, with all items being made on site.

This is a nice little spot on the square, and the service was good. Salsa was some of the best I have had in a long time - fresh with good consistency and flavor. The queso on the other hand was nothing special. And the fajitas were about as bland as you can get. However, I would try again and order something different because the chips and salsa were good.
