Das Wirtshaus besteht seit 230 Jahren, heute Familienbetrieb mit Waldviertler Tradition.
An der Straße 38 im Ortsteil Maidrans in Zwettl gelegen verfügt das haus über einen Parkplatz, im Sommer Grillhütte auf der Terrasse, nette Gästezimmer (Mohnhotel) und freundliche traditionelle Wirtststuben. Hier serviert man Waldviertler Knödeln, Karpfen, Backhnderl, Mohnschmankerln und regionale Weine. Kinderfreundlich, nette Bedienung.

I was there with my friends during our one-day trip to Austria. Searching for a place to eat we were forced to enter this restaurant because all places on open air were just occupied. Once we entered, we were never sorry for having done that. The place was very smart and clean and the stuff was more then kind a very helpful, as we didn't speak the language. We chose food from the daily menu - a soup, a main course and a desert. The soup was very tasty and the main dish - lamb ragù with dumplings and red wine sauce was just delicious. We were a bit perplexed with a strawberry tiramisù as some of us are italien - well, it shouldn't be called tiramisù but it was so good that I would ordered that again. The place is right on the square with some seats on open air and lots of place inside. There is also a car park on the square. I really would like to thank to the staff for not just very good food but also very nice reception. We are planning to go back to that part to see the Castles we didn't have time to visit but surely we will eat again in this restaurant. Regarding the prices - the day menu we had cost € 13, ordering from the normal menu - a soup, a main dish and a desert would be approximately € 20 plus drink.

Great food, nice service, pleasant environment. Outdoor Seating in front and in the back yeard. The food is not cheap but all we had was very good. One of the backhandel we had in a long time

We only had coffee on their outside Terrace, but it was a lovely place to sit and enjoy the square. Services was prompt and friendly. Coffee was good. Also, bought some cute marzipan in the shape of carp!

To get to this restaurant you have to climb the hill to Gmünd Castle (Alte Burg) and negotiate some stone staircases and corridors. The restaurant is appointed as a traditional Austrian "Stube". But the real attraction is the outside porch where you can sit at a table with a view over charming Gmünd Town. The specialty of this restaurant is anything with Spätzle (a kind of egg noodles). We had a good sit-down; the beer was cold and the service of the staff was OK.

Visited upon friends' recommendation. Very nicely decorated. My carp and potato salad were fine, but the portion was small. Husband's chicken roulade was served on a huge portion of barely risotto. Expensive compared to other restaurants. No English menu & limited English among staff.

Es war wirklich ein Zufall, dass wir hier gelandet sind. Erstens liegt das Restaurant wunderschön in der Landschaft, zweitens war die Bedienung sehr gut und drittens (und am wichtigsten), war das Essen hervorragend. Man hat eine echte Portion am Teller und sie schmeckt einfach perfekt. Der Weinkeller ist gut sortiert (leider musste ich noch Auto fahren, aber eine Übernachtungsmöglichkeit vor Ort ist in Planung). Bravo !

In this little town this is a quality option on the main street which you pay a few more euros for. However food and quality was excellent and so was the service so recommended for an enjoyable and relaxed meal.

A rainy day sent us inside from the patio and we sat with another family, what a treat! We practiced German and English and had a lovely time. The food was delicious, service was spot on, and the town of Zwettl was a perfect stop on our way to Cesky Krumlov. I highly recommend it.

Three of us visited U Misku for lunch and attracted by the nice house from the outside, we were not disappointed with the inside. The food was very good, the service was friendly and helpful and always happy to recommend dishes and side dishes based on our tastes.
Even when the place got really busy, the waiter did not fail to keep smiling and making us feel very welcome. Trebon is known for fish dieshes and this is a great place to try some sweet water fish for very reasonable prices.
