Its my first time at this place and er arrived after 8pm (evening) and got a nice table rigth away with out Reservations.
The place was almost full, but the vaitors were professional and accurate.
It took 30 minutes from we ordered to we recived our food.
The food was exelent and it completed the experience giving is the perfect date.

Popped in for a lunch. Expected tired sandwiches and cakes. Instead enjoyed a bright pesto chicken salad filled with big chunks of grilled meat, diverse and crisp vegetables and fresh foccacia. Husband's "steak sandwich" was a refreshing open face stack of meat, sun dried tomatoes and dark greens. Service was fast, engaged and friendly. "Back yard" was a courtyard filled with tables in the Sunshine. Only wish I had had a glass of white wine to pair with my lunch but the coffee was good.

It was a good recommendation with seafood options as the main offer on the cart but not only.
The atmosphere of the main hall is cosy. A large group was however a bit nosy around.
We were surprised that by 9PM the kitchen was starting to be cleaned when there were still customers in the restaurant.

Been eating here a couple of times, while sailing from Oslo to the swedish coast. Located in Hankö, a popular summer place in Norway. Friendly service in fine atmosphere.
Always had a very good meal, mussels is recommended.
Will come back for sure!
PS: You have to take the ferry (it's free) from the Mainland if your not entering from a boat.

After the show upstairs, our friends from Oslo had ordered a table in the restaurant for a meal.Many tables where free,some not cleaned,but we asked if we could sit down until a waiter had removed glasses and plates from the previous guests.But no,go outside and wait until we are ready,was the message we got from a waiter.In stead of cleaning inside for reserved tables they cleaned tables outside???!!! It is not the first time we have had similar experiences.The manager must be responsible for the waiters knowledge how to manage a matter like this! In our opinion the waiters are not educated or informed well enough.This is and will always be the responsibility of the restaurant manager.We left the place and headed for the very nice restaurant Kystkroa Skjæløy where we had our dinner in a very nice and cosy atosphere.
It is just unbelievable that people accept this kind of treatment.They obviously need far more competition to learn that service must be increased heavily,and not to forget how waiters should behave towards their guests.UNBELIVABLE!

We really had a wonderful meal in Fabel. The staff are friendly and the food is gently prepared. There are few options in the menu, but everything we had was very good. The wine was very nice too and you can have a late dinner (not very common in Fredrikstad). The price is a bit expensive, but restaurants are very expensive in Norway, so it is really worthy to try.

The place is situated by the river in an old factory building. It's a rustic, spacious place, a very pleasant place for a chat, a glass of wine og beer, and not least good Italian pizza and pasta. They serve tasty thin Italian pizza, among the best I've tasted. Especially the truffle pizza is recommended. We also had spagettti with gorgonzola and beef. Very nice. For dessert I can absolutely recommended the panna cotta with cocos.

Comments: in the center of Fredrikstad, and quite popular. The flip side is the noise going high, too much for us. There are lots of different beers, on the tap. Great.

Went here after work with colleagues. Had a 4 course tasting menu. Great food, enough food - really fresh and good Best sushi I've had in a long time! They say it's the best in Fredrikstad.
