We arrived Friday evening around 10pm without reservation and surprisingly got a table. We liked the rustic decoration which gave a warm and cozy atmosphere. There are traditional Swabian dishes and some international dishes on the menu. The food was very good and the staff were friendly and efficient.

Stayed in the hotel and had dinner with a large group of colleagues.
Had the mixed grill and ordered a green salad.
All meat was cooked to perfection and the salad was very tasty. Fries were also fine.
All washed down with some really good beers and an aperitif.
If you are in Fellbach then well worth visiting.

This is a nice hotel in the centre of Fellbach. Clean and professional managed. The breakfast which is included is excellent.
The bathroom in our room was more reflective of a youth hostel. Towels the size of an oversized handkerchief one per person and a shower cubicle without door just a flimsy shower curtain. Two older dispenser with soap and "shower gel" did not impressed. For a hotel in this price range in a midsize town one could expect a little more comfort in the bathroom

I stay relatively frequently at the best western and every night eat here. the food is consistantly off the highest quality and portions massive (see pork knuckle). The atmosphere in winter is cosy and very bavararian like and summer lovely in the beer garden.

This restuarant has good food and the view is very nice. The only downside is that it is hard to get to by public transportation. It is about a 20 minute walk, up-hill, from the nearest bus stop. If going, go by auto.

The restaurant is located in the old part of Bad Cannstatt and is decorated in a romantic manner, a bit old fashioned. Our wish was to learn more about the local wine and the Sommelier was very knowledgable and chose an excellent wine that was aligned to our taste. The food was very tasty although quite heavy (lots of butter and Bechamel sauce....). Overall - a good experience!

Goldberg Restaurant & Winelounge

The Goldberg conquered the hearts of our guests right after its opening. Since 2010 every stay in Fellbach is a memorable experience - on the one hand, owing to our utterly dedicated crew and on the other hand, due to our chefs captivating "Cross Culture Kitchen". Modern, but classic. Fashionable, but comfortable. These words describe the exceptional Fine Dining experience at the Goldberg Restaurant.

Reviewed By Richard K - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Goldberg impressed me as a magnificent culinary experience. The setting is sophisticated and pleasant in this gourmet restaurant attached to a major conference center in Fellbach, a suburb of Stuttgart. It is a natural destination for those attending events in the nearby Schwabenlandhalle, and a Mercedes station wagon is available to shuttle guests from downtown hotels. The cuisine is interesting, creative, and sophisticated. The wine list is not extensive, but intriguing and at times amusing -- Wurttemburg wines are described as "Local Heros." I went there on two occasions as a solo diner and every dish I ordered was superlative. On my second meal a tuna tartare amuse bouche was superb, and I ordered what is best described as a bag of prawns in batter with three dips, followed by a scallop and pork belly dish which was delicious beyond description. Why very good instead of excellent while I am raving about the food? The staff was robot-like and did not engage, despite their speaking excellent English. During my first visit I discounted this because I was jet-lagged and unsure of my objectivity. On my second visit I was alert and wide-awake, and it was exactly the same. I would go there again with companions, but I would not return solo. Great food I like, but the chill was palpable and frankly unpleasant. If I had walked in in a scruffy or overly casual manner, I could have rationalized this treatment, but I on each occasion I walked in well dressed, jacket and tie and all, after a day of professional activity.

Ganse- und Spargelbesen Fellbach

Somewhere, amidst vineyards and vegetable fields you find this casual and big but simple and modern restaurant, which serves according to the season asparagus, goose or beef respectively. Typically for the month of May we came in at the white asparagus season. Here you find every possible garnishing around the asparagus like smoked salmon, ham, Suabian pancakes and liquid butter or even better sauce hollandaise. The portions are reasonably good and the asparagus is absolutely fresh. To be recommended too are the better white wines, produced by the owner Johannes Bauerle, who studied oenology in places like in Southern Tyrol and New Zealand - and the restaurant resembles closely to some of the places which I have seen in New Zealand. Service is friendly and good. Price-performance ratio is also o.k.. As the restaurant seems to be always full, a reservation is recommended.

Plenty of options, and it truly felt like its namesake, a little Greek restaurant, there is plenty of space, but still managed to be quaint. The food was certainly good, although it felt more like tavern food, nothing spectacular, but what they do have, was done well.
