Nothing fancy here, but food was good. Order at the counter and they bring it out to you. We had pork sandwiches with potato salad and baked beans. Very tender meat with good flavor. Potato salad was the creamy type with dill. One of us had brisket dinner and it was more meat than he could eat. Two can eat well for around $20.

Perfectly seasoned crispy fried catfish fillets -- just what you want for a nice Southern lunch . Unless, of course, you want a specimen of perfectly smoked, sliced and sauced brisket on a sandwich. You can get both at Country Junction, a clean, non-nonsense dining spot with impeccable service and delicious food. Bonus: sometimes there is a sugar-free poundcake you won't believe. And (I did not attempt it) a "Messy Cowboy" sandwich that ought to be on the Food Channel it's so outrageous: Start with a bun, then add steak, hamburger, barbeque, various trimmings and gravies.....

I've been going to Lisa's for as long as I can remember. They offer a wide range of items, but definitely specialize in good BBQ. The restaurant is a "hole in the wall" atmosphere, with pictures of local majorettes and the Alabama Crimsonettes on the walls. You can get everything from pulled pork, chicken, steak, fish, sandwiches and salads. Also, they have the best sweet tea in town. This is definitely a place to try if you are in Fayette!

Went here for lunch. Very clean and up-to-date building, rustic feel, excellent menu. Great salad bar compared to most local restaurants. I had the salad bar for lunch and a grilled chicken fillet. Salad bar was fresh and excellent. The chicken was not the best I have ever had, but I understand they may have been in process of replacing a piece of cooking equipment. I will definitely try them again.

The owners have changed their menu to meet the tastes of a small Alabama town. For example there is no Electric Green relish for the Chicago dogs because the folks in town didn't like it. They make a pretty good pie and their pasta is top notch.

Charles' serves some of the best breakfast you will ever eat. Eggs, hash browns, omelets, sausage, bacon, grits, whatever it is, it is delicious. Sometimes they have homemade strawberry or homemade muscadine preserves which make a great dining experience even better.

This subway has a nice added touch for a large order: they write something to identify each sandwich on the outside wrapper. This seems like a small deal but when you are purchasing sandwiches fir 8 people it makes distributing the sandwiches much easier! The staff is always friendly.

Ate lunch here with my family. Very good selection on the buffet. Hot and cold foods are available. This includes a salad bar as well. There was another cold-food type bar that included different fruits, some fresh (like cantaloupe) and some canned (peaches, for instance). The hot food choices were many, but some of them were sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken, Mongolian beef, crab casserole (surprisingly good), plus many others. There were many dessert items also, and ice cream as well. If you leave here hungry, it will be your own choice, because there lots of items to choose from. By the way, this place has been a local favorite for many years. They successfully changed locations a few years back, and seem to be drawing in a very good business. An added plus is the prices are quite reasonable considering this is an all-you-can-eat buffet.

Our Sunday lunch/brunch was delightful. A fixed menu with three entrees (roast beef, chicken & dumplings, or stew - with sides), drink included and desserts extra, was VERY tasty ($7). The staff was helpful and in constant attendance. The meals were exactly what we expected: tasty and authentic home cooking. I can't say enough about this restaurant! The quality in food was surpassed only by the service!

Doesn't look too good from the outside, and definitely not your fancy place on the inside, but it was comfortable and the food is wonderful.
