Ericeira (Portuguese pronunciation: [eɾiˈsɐjɾɐ]) is a civil parish and seaside resort/fishing community on the western coast of Portugal, in the municipality of Mafra, about 35 kilometres (22 mi) northwest of the capital, Lisbon. The population in 2011 was 10,260, in an area of 12.05 km². Ericeira is regarded by some as being Europe's Surf Mecca, due to the exceptional coastline conditions for the practice of Surf. It is home for Ericeira's World Surfing Reserve, the first in Europe and the second in the world.

I went to this place for the first time with my family, and not like some people here on TripAdvisor saying bad things about it, I was very with everything. I really don't understand why people complain about the starters, if you don't want to pay , don't touch it , nobody force you to eat it. About prices, before go inside just check the menu and from there you can make a decision. Simple as that. By the way excellent . A place to go back

The food here is magnificent! We had the salmon which came with potatoes and vegetables- fantastic! Also the pork with clams was excellent and the seafood spaghetti was huge and loaded with a variety of seafood. The meals here are very generous, the service efficient and a good wine list. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We went here twice both times early evening. First time we just had drinks but we saw the sandwiches being served so went back the next day to try them. There's a lovely vibe to the place & we'd have liked to go back for drinks at night but time wasn't on our side.

Very busy restaurant with limited outside seats. We were lucky as the manager found us a table within 12 minutes of saying nothing available, love the way the Portuguese always find a solution. Food was very delicious and in great quantity served by friendly staff who were aware of your every need quickly! Slight mistake with my dish which was promptly corrected with no animosity! Loved it will return!

Cozy little restaurant. Menu is mostly burgers and steak sandwiches. We had soup and he steak Sandwich with everything it was all very good, they also had two craft beers available from the local brewery. Service was fast and very polite. Highly recommend!!

This restaurant serves excellent fish and no doubt the meat dishes are also very good. The decor is rustic with wooden benches and tables. Some reviews note the tiles but the room we were in was chipboard and cork walls. We did have a table by the window with views over the harbour and sea. There was a lot of debate about whether they had a table for 2, so booking is probably advisable. The food and service was very good and not too expensive.

This is a Must! One of the best shellfish ever. We returned 2 times! Crab is incredible, shrimp and lobster too. Very simple place few tables always super busy try to reserve in person because they do not answer the phone.
Prices? 50 euro in 2 or even less...
You need to try it!

The place to go in Ribamar or Ericeira,
The freshest shellfish you can imagine, "sapateira" (crab), "lagosta" (lobster),"lavagante" (American lobster), "gambas" (prawns), "percebes" (goose barnacles during its season), "ouriços" (sea urchin during its season), "mexilhão" (mussel), "Ameijoas" (clamshell), you name it they have it. Also the prepared dishes are great, "arroz de marisco" (shellfish rice) is my number one.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. Parking nearby is no issue.

I went there for the aniversary dinner of my 10 year old son. We ordered pizza and it was..... oh yeah!!!! Very nice, delicious, basically supreme. Additionally, the restaurant has a fantastic view from the surrounding hills. The only thing is that it is only open during summer time. But the rest, just go there and enjoy

It's a nice restaurant near the sea with good seafood. But only seafood, if you go for other food like fish, this is not the right restaurant for you. We ate "arroz de marisco" and it was very good.
