The two of us walked into La Pentolaccia at about 3pm, thinking it'd be easy to get at 2-top. The place was packed to the gills! Large parties, with tables pushed together, had taken all the inside space. We ate lunch on ground level just inside the front doors (feeling rather like the greeters at the zoo)-- the waiters running (!) up and down the stairs to take care of our needs, which they did nicely.
The food in this restaurant is spectacular.
I could rant about all sorts of things. But I won't. I will say that I've eaten in many many excellent restaurants in many many countries. This meal ranks high on the list.
Do:
If possible-- get a reservation.
Go with time and an appetite.
Make sure to eat pasta and fish of some sort.

Casual outdoor restaurant just off the Main Street in Erice. Having had a a lot of seafood recently, we stuck with the non seafood pastas. Of the two, we both preferred the Paccheri pasta with ragu over the Busiati pasta dish. The wine list includes wines from the top producers in Western Sicily and the prices are very reasonable. The restaurant is relatively inexpensive. Our one complaint was the food arrived too soon - we would have liked a little more time before the first dish came

Il ristorante “Al Vicoletto” nasce da un'idea di daniele ed emanuela che nel 2006 dopo varie esperienze lavorative all'estero e in italia coronarono il loro sogno aprendo questo piccolo ristorante nel centro storico di Trapani. Dal 2011 si e' aggiunto a questa realta' marco, ex skipper oceanico professionista di imbarcazioni a vela che un giorno per caso trovandosi a Trapani conobbe emanuela nello stesso ristorante dove ora lavora...da quell'anno per amore e per passione decise di rimanere a Trapani e di non andare piu' via. La nostra cucina si basa esclusivamente su prodotti a km. 0 provenienti dalla zona fao 37 per il pesce fresco...il locale propone un menu' ristretto giornaliero, differente in base alla disponibilita' di prodotti locali utilizzando solo ed esclusivamente materie prime locali di ottima qualita'. Essendo dotato di una cucina molto piccola e di pochi tavoli la nostra cucina si basa su piatti molto semplici e poco elaborati preparati rigorosamente al momento.

While most of the restaurants in this area have open air tables, this has only tables inside. Also it only opens for two hours (8-10pm). But the waiters were really professional and dishes were very local taste and big portion. I love this place generally however for our family, we have a one year boy, and honestly we felt bad to be noisy talking with our son all the time. It would be recommended more to couples or family with bigger children.

If you want to experience a local osteria, where to taste Seasonal Dishes and local food, this is the place. It might represent the best option for a not pretentious but very genuine meal. Fish is absolutely fresh and the place very cosy and familiar. This place is very appreciated in town thanks also to Michele, the owner. Very kind and frank person, he give you the feeling of being like at home. Great relation quality-price! Recommended....

The food was excellent, service brisk and professional. Quiet atmosphere.
What it lacked to get 5 stars was ambience - White walks, no outside Seating....needs something to go for good to great.
But good was really good!!

This resturant was a great find off one of the side streets in Erice. We ate outside in small side alley. The food was excellent and service was good also. We had mixed rustic scilian starters followed by swordfish rolls and sausage, with lovely caponata and mixed salad.

A great local place for simple traditional Sicilian food. Erice itself is a treasure and this restaurant added to our experience there! The food was prepared in a slightly different way than other places, but it was so good!! We all ordered different dishes....all of us were very happy with our choices. The orange salad, the Pasta Norma, the Busiati (with different sauces), the lovely fresh fish were all prepared beautifully. This was one of our favorite restaurants on our 3 week trip in Sicily!! The prices were very reasonable, as well. We went here on our last night in Erice or we would have returned.

You can go for a lobster dinner on silver plates or you can go for a excellent dinner with great dishes, genuine sicilian taste and a friendly host. La Golosa is the latter. I can definitely recommend that place!
