We stopped one evening at the sister restaurant for drinks only and got talking to the manager - a vibrant, friendly and welcoming man who was so enthusiastic and passionate about the restaurant. The next night, Tuesday we deduced to eat there but found it was closed on Tuesdays. We walked the 1km to the sister restaurant. It was very quiet with only a couple of other diners. We sat outside and had to go look for a server as we waited quite a while. We ordered mussels in white wine o start with. I asked the server if they were with garlic and he said NO. I asked if I could have garlic (moules mariniere) and he said NO! ONLY WITH WINE!!!. When they arrived, they were just ok tbh, nothing special and have certainly had better. Mr personality came and lifted our dishes with NO comment..... no "was everyiting ok, no would you like more drinks?, nothing.
The mains arrived and we both had cod cooked with garlic. Have to say the cod was beautifully cooked, but presentation was severely lacking. Both of our plates were mish-mashed and all the fish came with was one large boiled potato cut into wedges and sprinkled with paprika. No salad, garnish or veg.
We had to once again look for the server again to ask for more drinks during the meal.
Very disappointing meal, we were expecting far more and sorry we won't be back again. We felt we were just an inconvenience to our server and very unwelcome. Very different to our experience with it's sister restaurant!
We travelled the next day to Porto Soller where we had the most FABULOUS Seafood dinner at the Kingfisher! The service and attention to detail there were second to none and the food simply sublime !

Nothing special to look at but the food and the staff are the best , must go best steaks ever. Midrange price, steak and chips, what more could you ask for, could have eaten there every night.

wanted to watch sport as it says "watch all Sky Sports here", went into enquire first impression dark dingy and empty (first impressions speak volume). Enquired if a local derby game would be shown that evening got a very abrupt scouse speaking lady reply "No", asked what time they served food until same sharp tone "about 6", It was at that point I turned and walked away.

The most authentic tapas restaurants, we couldn't get enough!! Amazing atmosphere, always full, you better reserve a table and don't show up too late. The steak was DIVINE!

We came here for drinks before heading to the beach very clean toilets with friendly staff was a little pricey but its worth paying for with the location in a lovely spot

everything on the menu is absolutely amazing. ive had all the pastas and ive had the meat mix they have and the fish they have is All amazing, sphagetti bologonese is what i had tonight and its the best ive ever had. STRONGLY recommend 1955 restaurant!! sorry no pictures as i was a bit late to teview this restaurant

Loved my visit here, right on the front accross from the beach, had a steak with all the trimmings and it was done to my exact requirements by the chef medium rare. Great service, friendly staff and reasonable prices. A must visit.

what a nice plesent place to eat, for a snack or evening meal, pizza are fresh and tasty, and relatively inexpensive, service good, food good, and well recommended by every one in local hotel who used it

Located on the beach front this restaurant has a varied menu, something good for everyone, we came here on numerous occasions, my wife is vegetarian so they cater for veggies, vegan, gluten free etc. Big portions and very tasty. I would highly recommend the lasagne. Sangria is around 2.50 for a huge wine glass full and is really nice, friendly stsff who are not overly sttentive which is good, I would recommend sitting on the Terrace but if you are against smoking then don't as they have shisha pipes, doesn't really bother me but some people are picky.

We stopped in here as The food looked great however the service was poor! My wine had cork floating in it, my partners pizza was cold. The waiter clearly seen the cork floating as he opened it badly and said nothing! Then they automatically put the change in the tip jar!? The steak was nice perfectly cooked, cocktails were nice, but the overall experience was poor.
