Little Man Ice Cream

Cute little outdoor walk up ice cream shop located next to Linger Eatuary Restaurant. Parking Lot across street charges $5, monitored closely. We were lucky to get free street parking spot mid day during week. Staff was THE nicest, offered samples before purchasing. Hands down the smoothest ice cream with perfect flavoring. The cones were so fresh, surprised by this as it was served outdoors. Small patio seating available. They donate to a charity for each scoop served (forget). Highly recommend!!!

Rupert's at the Edge

Reviewed By Sebbyboy - Flower Mound, Texas

Visiting from DFW area where I go to breakfast once per week with several other retired friends - two of us been doing so for 4 years all over Dallas/Fort Worth area. A breakfast guru you might say. Now I also try breakfast places in Denver with my Denver daughters retired father-in-law when visiting 3-4 times per year.

Went to Ruperts at the Edge during week and sat inside. I had stuffed breakfast poblanos and added biscuits. Friend had breakfast burrito. My breakfast was excellent in all respects save for the poblano itself - I absolutely love chiles of all type and consider myself quite knowledgeable on Chile rellenos, stuffed poblano, Hatch chiles.....even been to Hatch Festival). The poblano at Ruperts simply did not seem roasted and was lacking in the typical bold flavor. The pepper also seemed far too firm - perhaps undercooked or even raw. Repeat - all other aspects of my breakfast (eggs, sauce, biscuits...) all very good. And my friend enjoyed his burrito with a lovely roasted pork inside. I sampled his burrito and agreed it was above average. Biscuits are heavenly. Service excellent and ambiance good. Prices perhaps a tad high but in light of menu variety, quality and service, I am okay with pricing. I would try Ruperts again. Would have rated a 4(out of 5) if not for the poblano pepper issue. Parking can be a challenge.

West 29th Restaurant

Reviewed By KathrynAugust - Lakewood, Colorado

We do enjoy this restaurant, but we were just slightly disappointed this time.

First, the man who seated us was not very friendly or welcoming.

Second, I was highly disappointed with my "classic" Eggs Benedict. (I am writing this review mainly to warn others that it this is NOT a classic Eggs Benedict in that the English muffin was some kind of rye/pumpernickel -- I think that is what is was anyway -- and I definitely did not like that.) However, it was cooked perfectly, as has been all the food we have tried so far. My husband's corned beef and eggs were cooked exactly to his liking.

Oh, and just one other small suggestion -- the fruit cup was very good, but it would have been better to either peel the orange or use a different kind of fruit.

And our waitress was very friendly and efficient (although we did have to wait about five minutes for her to ask if we wanted any kind of beverage besides water), and the coffee, as before, was the BEST coffee we have ever had in any restaurant.

Just PLEASE either clarify on the menu what kind of English muffins are used or else use the plain or sourdough kind!

US Thai

Reviewed By Mike N - Denver, Colorado

This is a quaint hole in the wall restaurant with pleasant staff, quality food ingredients and authentic Thai dishes. As such, the peppers can be really hot. I like spicy (hot) food, and generally get the higher rating of spiciness when I order food. I had heard that this restaurant had a reputation for spicy food so I ordered all of our dishes medium heat. Oh my, it was really spicy, to the extent that my wife and I couldn't finish our dishes. At home I had to add sour cream to my food to finish it. We had the spring rolls, which were excellent, as was the Toomyam soup. The papaya salad was fresh and good, but also very spicy. Finally, my wife had Pak US Thai Special, with stir-fried carrot, bell pepper, yellow onion, baby corn, broccoli, zucchini, celery, mushrooms, chinese brocolli, cashew nuts and chicken, and I had Thai fried rice with added seafood. The scallops, squid and shrimp were all fresh and prepared very well, and the vegetables were also fresh and tasty, but once again, it was hot!!!!!n . Next time I'll order mild as I really like the food ingredients and preparation, but man was it hot.

Root Down

Root Down aims to connect the neighborhood to a dining experience in the same way ingredients are connected to food. There should be a seamless bond between the elements and experience, which stimulates the senses and draws people in. Root Down serves “globally influenced seasonal cuisine,” which basically means we go where inspiration leads us. We’re not tied to one style or genre—we’re hoping to create one of our own. At Root Down we pride ourselves on striving to solve the ‘Omnivore’s Dilemma.’ We have created a dining spot where all dietary needs will be accommodated, including vegetarian, vegan, raw and gluten free; also allergies or intolerances are always handled professionally by the kitchen team. Our menu has icons reflecting this philosophy, though we always request you notify your server of specific needs. We look forward to seeing you soon!

We decided on sharing small plates between three diners, one of whom had a minor food allergy and the staff went above and beyond to ensure that anything we ordered would not be an issue.

Everything was delicious, from salads to desserts, but our favorite was the Devils on Horseback, bacon wrapped almonds with a Gournay cheese fondue sauce. So delectable that we ordered a second one after we were done eating everything else! Our server was very conscientious and would note things like a dish that only had five pieces, asking if we wanted a sixth so that everything was even. Good thing we always said yes.

Interesting and varied craft cocktail list, all of which were very good.

Loved the old car garage and repurposed ambiance. We were fortunate to be seated in the little side room right behind the hostess stand, so it wasn't too crazy or noisy. Very enjoyable evening.

Marco's Coal Fired Pizzeria

Reviewed By Preefab - London, United Kingdom

Being a vegan is challenging when you are eating out. However, Marcos was very accommodating. The menu although not extensive has the option to make your own pizza. There are a few vegetable options and also an option to add vegan cheese. For those that are gluten free there is a special base for that too.

I opted for a 9 inch half half pizza. Half marinara and half with roasted peppers and mushrooms.

The pizza was tasty and fresh. The server was very kind and professional. I didn’t feel uncomfortable eating alone.

My only comment would be that perhaps they could charge half price for the toppings if you are only having half the portion. Overall not a big deal. I would happily return.

Sweet Cow

What is more fun when traveling than to find a local ice cream place? My wife found Sweet Cow and glad we made the trek. This is a real, local, family friendly place and from the line it's clear they have a following. The atmosphere was great and the ice cream was delicious. My wife had Dutch Chocolate and I tried one scoop of Butter Pecan and one of Cookie Dough. I was so tempted to get the Candied Ginger, one of their more interesting flavors. What we did have was so good, and I'd love to come here again. They have fresh made waffle cones and even a pretzel cone, which some people were ordering. Try it!

ChoLon Modern Asian

Reviewed By Kimberly T - New York City, New York

Not only does ChoLon have fantastic food, but the restaurant atmosphere is perfect for a date night, as recommended on Seated. When we arrived at ChoLon we were instantly seated and greeted by our wait staff (S/O to Sam for being awesome!). We started off with their signature cocktails - Summer in Shanghai & Zen Master. My boyfriend seemed to enjoy the Summer in Shanghai and the zen master was incredible. Light, refreshing and the perfect mix of gin, sake, cucumber and mint. The style at Cholon is small plates and everything is meant to be shared. Based on our waitress Sams recommendation we started with the soup dumplings (per plate) and pork belly rolls (4 per plate). Both were amazing and surprisingly filling. If it is your first time I would not leave until trying the soup dumplings, it is the dish that ChoLon has built their reputation on. For a our main courses we got the Colorado Wagu beef (12 small slices) and the Brussel sprouts with pork (probably about two healthy scoops in a small to medium size bowl). Both meals were fantastic, with the Brussel sprouts w/ pork being my favorite dish from the night and the Waygu beef my boyfriends favorite. In terms of pricing, our meal ended up being a little over $100 + tip and the plates ranged from $12-29 each. I would highly recommend ChoLon to anyone looking for a nice, Asian infused dinner (who was also okay dropping some cash). ChoLon is located on Blake Street (right next to the Rio) so you are at the mercy of the meters for parking. If going on a weekend, I would recommend taking an Uber/Lyft if possible which Seated covers for basically.
