We tried everything on the menu I think. The seafood medley, the chicken, the sweetbreads the European salad, think someone had a vegan dinner, , steak tartare, veal, lamb chops, cheese board carrot cake, caramel ice cream, vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce and more. It was all good, wine very good and service friendly and thoughtful.

This restaurant simply does things right. Reservations are prompt, the menu is outstanding, the food is well prepared and is delicious. Staff are prompt, helpful but professional. We ate in both the restaurant and the Tavern and found many locals dining there which is always a good sign. We hope to return.

We stop in occasionally for a dozen donuts and an egg sandwich. It's not fancy, but the food is fresh and the staff is friendly. It's so much better than a chain donut.

Small unique restaurant run by the chef/owner and wife. Wonderful selection of starters and entrees. Bread pudding with coconut anglaise is a winner. Wine selection is small but completely compliments the menu. The service is friendly and knowledgeable. By far my favorite restaurant in Manchester for one or two couples.

With a roaring fire blazing on a winter’s night, there’s nothing quite like the coziness of the historic Ye Olde Tavern. This is not a restaurant for nouvelle cuisine, but rather American comfort food. The dinner menu boasts American favorites such as Roasted Turkey with Dressing, Twin Lobster Tails, Liver with Bacon and Onions, Yankee Pot Roast, etc. All entrees are served with salad, a hot loaf of bread, and cranberry corn fritters with housemade delectable strawberry butter. Ye Olde Tavern has a charm all its own that hasn’t diminished since we discovered it on our first trip to Manchester more than eight years ago.

This is a great little restaurant overall. It is one of the few places that offers outdoor (covered) dining which is lovely on a nice evening. The food is excellent and the menu is varied enough to have something that would appeal to most everyone...seafood, poultry, veal shank, beef, vegetarian and so on. Organic ingredients and creative preparations. Very friendly service. Prices are on a par with most every restaurant in the area.

Nipper's Cafe & Steakhouse

A casual dining experience offering exceptional meals at breakfast and dinner. All of our sauces, soups and dressings our handcrafted on our property. We serve prime cut steaks, fresh seafood, pork loin (one of the favorites after the steaks and seafood) at dinner, along with hamburgers, salads and panini's. Nipper's has become popular amongst the locals and tourist for serving up outstanding fresh food. Whenever possible we use all local produce or preferably the vegetables come from our own organic or hydroponic gardens. At breakfast we offer 11 different kinds of eggs benedicts and you are able to choose from 2 or 3 eggs. We offer a variety of griddle items (cinnamon french toast, pancakes and more) with mix or max options. Of course our corned beef hash is homemade. We have a variety of omelettes and you are able to have them prepared with egg whites if you like. We are located 1.5 miles North of town on route 7A - Go the extra mile, we do.

We came here on a whim and both thought the food was pretty good for the money. Our waitress was also the server, hostess, busboy and probably cook. The only odd thing about Nippers is the unusual policy of automatically tacking on an 18 percent gratuity. Mind you, this was not for large parties only. Our 31.00 check was inflated to cover the "expected" tip. Since I usually tip 20 percent it was their loss though. Still, I hated the concept and will not be returning,

Inn at West View Farm Restaurant

Modern Asian Cuisine served in a fun and friendly atmosphere.

Reviewed By fba5 - Albany, New York

This restaurant, open to the public, was the best part of staying at the Inn at West View Farms. It looked elegant. We enjoyed being seated at the circular end of the dining room, which had large windows & a lovely view. While there were a few entrees available, the menu consisted mainly of tapas with an Asian influence. The chef owner, Raymond Chen, who had worked in New York City for Chef Jean-Georges, one of the world’s most famous chefs, served dishes with strong flavors. Even the salad we'd ordered had a distinctive dressing which I thought tasted like miso. I asked & was told it was a citrus-soy dressing. I enjoyed the many tapas that we'd ordered, although I hadn't expected the scallion pancakes to be so crispy. FYI, as we were overnight guests at the Inn, our breakfast in the dining room was included. While the food was very well prepared, I was a little surprised that there were only 2 choices offered the morning we were there: a spinach, tomato, & goat cheese frittata (which was moist & excellent) & pancakes. Lastly, you could have juice as part of your breakfast but we weren't offered any fruit. Anyway, I thought the food was the best part of our inn experience!
