Restaurant review - we did not stay overnight.
Food: the house curry is amazing. Truly the best we have had in Sri Lanka the last 2 weeks.
Wine: from Chile - and really good :-)
Service: good
Atmosphere: Romantic, beautiful
Extra add ons: they have a pool table, where you can take a game after the dinner - :)
Note - the only set back is that they did not have the dessert, we ordered

We ordered the tuna fish and it was perfect prepared with an amazing sauce that completed the dish. It was quite expensive (2000 per dish) but the portion of the tuna was good for 2 people.

Stumbled upon this restaurant by accident - to the westerner's eye it may look shabby - but don't be fooled by its looks. The staff there are super friendly and helpful and their food is just amazing at the most friendly prices. We got roti for lunch and then came back again for dinner - their mango smoothie, avocado cheese roti and dhal curry with rice were so delicious. Would have come for more if we hadn't been continuing to another town. We still dream about the delish dishes.

Neelas is easily the best place to eat beach front. Never had a bad meal here. 13 years later we still come here most days to eat drink and swim in the beautiful sea straight in front of Neelas. Keep up the good work. Personally recommend the deep fried prawns with chips and salad. Amazing!

We ate here three times during our 10 day stay in Hikkaduwa - that should say something in itself. The food is great and the prices are reasonable. The restaurant is right on the beach with steps up to the eating area. You can get a drink to watch the sunset; have a good dinner or, as we did on our last day, have a lovely lunch to say goodbye to Sri Lanka. Highly recommended

The place looks nice and there is great atmosphere. The food and the juices were amazing. Chicken naan and prawns tasted great. I tasted wood apple coconut milk juice. It was good in a weird way. Staff was welcoming and helpful. All in all superb dinner. Highly recommend!
