We went to the Ebro delta today and visited Casa Nuri. Our meal was vegetable paella and very nice it was also. This Restaurant specialises in Paella of all types and also there is a good selection of other dishes. If you are looking for a trip on the Ebro river the boats pull up outside the restaurant. There are also a number of gift shops selling lots of local items. This is a really good place to visit.

We come here very often. At least once per month. I have tasted all kind of rice in the area but i always return to Mas Prades. Others have the fame but here you will appreciate the real taste of seafood paella. The price is very correct. The place is beautiful and the location perfect just in the middles of the Delta. Don't return home without having dinner here.

We had an excellent lunch for 4 people at this lovely riverside restaurant. The grilled pok was mouthwatering, the sole and the lamb ribs excellent. Desserts were very fattening but really good.

Really nice Italian style thin base pizzas in the middle of Deltebre. They are quite large, like 12" at least at a very reasonable price€6.50/€8.00 you can share one between 2 kids. They also have very unusual patatas bravas cut into slices like Pringles but much thicker and home made with the normal bravas sauce or cheese sauce (contains goat cheese). We ate outside because inside smelled toilets but don't let this to turn you off as the food is really nice. They also do savoury and sweet crepes. We ate for €40.

We went here initially for a drink before our evening meal but ended up staying to eat. The staff were extremely friendly including offering mosquito repellent when we were sat outside. The food was good especially the cod starter. We had main dishes of Chicken and duck which were tasty and managed to find space for dessert which was The price was just under €50 which is good for three courses and drinks for the two of us. This place was also open earlier which meant it was a little easier for us not being used to eating as late as 9pm.

We were looking for fresh oysters and found the plumpest, freshest, most flavorful oysters we have had in a long time. We could have gone on ordering plate after plate and make a meal of them, but that would have meant passing on the fantastic and very reasonably priced angulas (baby eels), cooked with garlic. We also had a plate of small and very tasty fish, simply fried and delicious.
We have to go back to try the rice with shrimp and artichokes, which sounded delicious in the enthusiastic description by our great hostess, Rebeca, whose knowledge and pleasure in what she does enhances the experience.
Since i was the only one drinking wine, due to my companion having to drive, i had a carafe of the house white, very reasonably priced but a bit of a disappointment after the high quality of the rest of the meal.
The restaurant is pleasantly decorated and enjoys a pretty view of the Ebro, blue and resplendent under the summer sun.

La Barraca Del Delta

Reviewed By FredandMouse - Harlow, Essex

This restaurant was packed on May 1st with Spaniards coming down to the Delta for lunch - we were lucky to arrive early (at 2.15!) and so got a table. Mostly, it appears, you have to reserve a place and it is worth it. The food is good - rice dishes of every sort and local duck which melts on the mouth. Try the Catalan Salad, too. It would make a meal on its own. We had a bottle of Albarino, which was excellent. The service was friendly and, if anything, a bit too quick, although we were in the restaurant for nearly two hours! The "but" was the size and cost of the post-prandial brandy. In a country where measures are generous, I was given a measure smaller than a single in an English bar at the cost of half a bottle in the shops. Such greed literally leaves a nasty taste in the mouth and costs this restaurant two stars. If you visit, stick to wine and water!

Gran Buffet La Gaya

Just incredible.
An enormous buffet, from starters to desserts, hot and cold dishes of freshly prepared seafood and fish, side orders, paellas, meats, local recipes, salads, and at least 20 type of different dressers and fresh fruit.
All this for €18 per head +drinks. You can eat as much as you like, and by the time you're stuffed, you probably had only tried a quarter of the dishes! The staff are very helpful and everything comes with a smile.
By far, the best buffet style local restaurant we have ever been to.

PS Its only opened during the high season and not every day.
