El Olivo Restaurante is a refurbished 16th century olive press, offering a superb menu and equally an impressive wine list. Situated in the beautiful Belmond La Residencia, this is perhaps one of the finest restaurants in Mallorca. The outdoor area, lit by candlelight is a supremely romantic dinner setting.
Coming to Palma for so many years we've never eaten here. We did have drinks at sunset - but always decided it's too expensive to dine here. But we decided to give it a try for our anniversary and we were not disappointed. The location is stunning (as are most places in deia). The service was superb - thanks to Daniel! And the food was truly delightful. The portions were larger than expected so we ordered an intermediate course and couldn't finish our main. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. Only downside which we are used from other restaurants at this class - some kind of sweet treat e.g. a praline with the bill at the end would be great. Especially when you pay 200€ per head.

We visited on a Sunday night and dined indoors as it was too windy for diners to eat outside. It was also too dark to enjoy the view which is meant to be amazing.
Service was very attentive!
My nut allergy was handled without fuss and a fois gras terrine changed for seared fois gras and a salad.
Had a Tomato mouse amouse bouche and a super delicious soup of Octopus and artichoke. Followed by the tasty seared foia gras and truffle....lots of truffle :-)
My main was a very rich but delicious beef course with melt in the mouth beef cheek. We finished with a tarte tatin....which was yummy!
Highly recommend this place and will no doubt return.

Can Quet is a restaurant with unique views to the charming Deya village. It offers an exquisite selection of meats, fishes, rice and vegetables at grill. Every ingredient of our cuisine is granted to have the highest quality. Perfect to have dinner or lunch in its spectacular terraces while being in touch with nature, in the middle of the Tramuntana Mountains. Can Quet is located in a charming location that makes it a romantic, quiet and peaceful restaurant to enjoy with all five senses. You can discover Deya eating an exquisite lunch or a healthy dinner. A restaurant with years of history, large experience and plenty of loyal customers. Always in constant renovation, this year with new kitchens, grills and facilities, besides new decorations and a brand new image. Furthermore, this year Can Quet Restaurant offers an agenda of Concerts, art expositions and cultural, artistic events for the current season. Nature, wonderful views, unique charm, peaceful environment, delicious cuisine, art and culture, all at a reasonable price.
We walked to Can Quet from our hotel Costa d’Or (a good 55min), so were decidedly hot and bothered on arrival, but the warm, friendly welcome and peaceful surroundings soon made us relax. Throughout our meal the service was immaculate from Anna and her staff, genuinely friendly and helpful without being intrusive or overbearing. A real lesson in service to many others.
The setting of the restaurant is lovely with wonderful views from the open Terrace to Deia and the surrounding hills. After quenching our thirst with a beer (much needed) we were given an Amuse Bouche of strawberry and coconut gazpacho, which was delicious. The restaurant specialises in cooking on charcoal using fresh local produce and the menu was varied without being overly extensive. In my view that’s always a good sign. Nevertheless it was a real struggle to choose given how mouth-watering each dish sounded. We eventually plumbed for the grilled Octopus as starters, which was sublime, washed down with a glass of the local white wine. For the main we both had the suckling lamb, which was absolutely exquisite, simply and perfectly cooked and one of the tastiest pieces of lamb I can remember in a long time. Anna helped us choose a local red (as I recall the Petit Torrent) which was a perfect match. We were given some chocolate petit fours afterwards which we enjoyed with some fine double espressos. To top our evening, Anna weaved some magic and managed to secure us one of the two Taxis available in Deia for our journey home.
Can Quet is a stunningly located restaurant that optimises the views with a great open Terrace. There’s clearly a premium on a friendly and welcoming service, one of the best we’ve come across. The food is simply prepared and perfectly cooked over a charcoal with some excellent local produce and wines to match. When we there it was probably 50% occupied, which we found very surprising in high season, so if you in the area we’d highly recommend trying it out.

The restaurant is small and intimate with immaculately laid tables with white tablecloths, a hint of the quality to come.
We were greeted warmly and shown to a corner table next to the entrance (which was dimly lit, thank goodness for iphone torches to read the menu).
Our meal started with tasty fresh bread and an excellent amuse bouche, our starters were great too.
For mains we both ordered rack of lamb, for one of us the meat was tender and well cooked for the other a bit tough.
We shared a desert which was delicious.
Service was great, very attentive and friendly. The price we paid was fair too given the quality of the food.
Shame about one of the mains but that did not put us off, we will definitely visit again.

Xelini Restaurant “Tapas” Restaurant located in Deia (Mountain town located in Mallorca). The best local and Mediterranean cuisine. Xelini Restaurant is situated in a property which is 130 years old. The tasteful decor together with the stone walls and wooden beams and the addition of beautiful garden provide the perfect setting for an innovative menu of Mallorquin Cuisine. The psot-modern decor does not detract but rather lends to the cosy family atmosphere as opposed to some of the more popular tourist eateries on the island. Preserving the timeless ambience of Mediterranean cafe society where people sit and pass the time of day. Although Deia is a relatively small village nestled within Mallorca’s Sierra de Tramuntana it has enjoyed a world-wide reputation due to some of it’s more illustrious vistors and residents from the literati and gliterati of the nineteenth and twentieth century.
We were drawn in by the charming vine-covered Terrace and the promise of several salads and vegetable dishes on the menu. We were sadly disappointed. This restaurant charges similar prices to others in Deia, but for food that seems more like industrial products re-heated from the freezer than home cooking. The bread and patatas bravas were definitely produced in a factory and not the restaurant kitchen. The service made a disinterested impression, but our order was taken quickly and the food was served with similar speed, which is the most positive thing I can say about this restaurant.

We booked Sa Vinya after Reading the reviews and we're very glad we did. Lovely atmosphere, very lovely setting with a pretty Terrace and view of the Mountains above, friendly, attentive but not too attentive staff, peaceful atmosphere and very good food. Everything we had was very well cooked and presented but the Mallorcan lamb, goats cheese starter and almond cake dessert with almond ice-cream were particularly good.
Try a glass of amaretto and ice to drink with the almond cake dessert. Perfect.
Next time we're in the area we will definitely be back.

Restaurante de comida mediterránea con unas vista inigualables a la Sierra de Tramuntana, concretamente a la formación natural de Sa Foradada.
Wonderful views for both terraces. New ownership and they are friendly and charming. Food is poor standard. I guess its frozen and not freshly prepared.Prices are fair.

Very well made small Cafe which serves international food. Freshly prepared food, salads, great dessert...and Lemonade!! Romantic settings, very loving owners...
You'll notice that quite a few locals eat here. For good reason. It's simple. Relaxed. Friendly. Homely. The couple who run it are lovely and welcoming but take it seriously. We've come here for years and hope continue for many more. By the way, we thought the new premises would detract but it's simply changed.

This place gets rammed in high season as there are only two eateries on the beach and this is the cheaper of the two. Family-run, it serves fresh fish and salads - plus my favourite: egg and chips!

Truly an amazing setting and wonderful food. Totally worth it just for the views. An easy stroll down a long path from Deia to the beach and there you sit, overlooking sunbathers and small, brightly colored boats, and the cliffs beyond. No wonder it's been the setting of many a movie scene. Service is surprisingly efficient. I guess they get used to hustling through the chairs. Sunset is spectacular but any nice afternoon makes for a special memory.
