Very authentic Italian dining, great ambience, service is just above average, unfortunately waiter was not very attentive, also didn't understand our drink orders. Food itself was terrific, be prepared to pay

Howdy travelers,
I'm a local and have worked in Culver City at a local architectural firm for 15 plus years. I've seen the area transform with fancy restaurants and bars downtown. It's gotten pricey and pretentious. However, this place is not part of that crowd. It's not dirt cheap, and not too expensive, and the food is excellent. As a local I recommend this place over all the downtown restaurants. Serbian/ European inspired food and its one of my favorite restaurants in town.

Spago's new re-imagined, market-driven menus feature the freshest, highest-quality ingredients with inspiration from our garden and local farmer's markets, infused with legendary chef Wolfgang Puck's signature styles. The place to see and be seen, Spago continues to set the standard for cuisine, service and style and is consistently recognized as the ultimate in fine dining.
Quality of the food and service here is superb. But as a non-meat eater, I was very limited to what I could order. Not a lot of seafood on the menu so I was forced to order scallops - not my favorite. They were good for something I don't prefer to eat. But if you like scallops I'm sure they are fabulous! Started with Apple Soup - never heard of that before and it was scrumptous. Over all, if you aren't a fussy eater you should enjoy this restaurant. If you are a vegetarian or don't eat read meat, maybe you should look elsewhere, but you would find something to order here.

Culver City is the original location of this brilliant local string of restaurants, featuring fabulous fresh ingredients. Salads and "hot plates" are the menu mainstays, with perfect lettuces, excellent mashed potatoes, grilled meats and vegetables, and usually a delicious daily special. Everything made with care.
Cafeteria order line, where you can see the food, and watch your plate being assembled quickly as you inch up to the cash register. Prices are the best deal in town, part of the restaurant owners' mission to make quality food affordable to all. Less indoor seating area at this location than some of the others (Marina, Santa Monica, or Pasadena.)

A lively seafood-centric Mediterranean restaurant showcasing award-winning cuisine in a warm and inviting environment. The adjacent outdoor terrace space is a destination for al fresco dining under the glittering Beverly Hills evening sky.
We had Christmas Day lunch at the Belvedere, which was excellent. It was a set menu where you actually got all options on the menu. The starters were amazing, risotto balls, soup, carrots and cassoulet. Followed by a massive platter of Turkey, and a delicious plate of osso bucco.
It was excellently served, extremely tasty and I would happily go back again.

This restaurant is well located on Culver boulevard and purports to offer authentic French food. I question whether Boeuf Bouginon has Papadelle past in it also Hamburgers, which when ordered by my grand daughter was serve between two slices of bread as they had run out of buns.
Food and wine is well overpriced

After being extremely intrigued by the Chef's Table documentary, we were thrilled to score a very hard to get seating for 6 guests and flew from Portland specifically for the dining experience.
Walking up to such an unassuming building exterior in a neighborhood with no other surrounding fine dining establishments, you then walk through the restaurants front door and feel as though you are transported to Japan...but with an adventurous twist.
I have had the pleasure and honor of dining at several traditional kaiseki restaurants in Tokyo and Kyoto but I must say that our exceptional dining experience at N/Naka surpassed any other that came before that very special evening. Chef Nakayama and her culinary team gave us all an exquisite gift as each dish was sincerely a creative work of art appealing to each of the senses. The 13 course meal takes you on a journey from beautifully inventive to perfectly simple to mind-blowingly complex! The presentation of each dish was exquisite from the eel, portobello and foie to the finest grade sashimi to pasta with abalone and truffles and so many more. The Chef's attention to detail was astonishing and I'm still salivating and in awe just reminiscing about each unique dish.
The service was perfection and courses were also each paired with fantastic sake or wine, all of which were unique, rare and had a very interesting story.
Our guests included restauranteurs, foodies and a Chef and we all agreed that N/Naka was the best dining experience we have ever had. We were also thrilled to have the honor of meeting Chef Nikki Nakayama after dinner, as she came to our table - she is so very talented, humble and creative.
I sincerely feel that N/Naka is well deserving of a future Michelin Star. It was a truly inspiring experience and I cannot wait to return again!

We choose this restaurant as it was close to our hotel and we were not disappointed. The service was excellent and the food was not only tasty but excellent value for money. The Spaghetti Bologneise and Lasagne were both favourites of ours. Would definitely recommend.

When I lived in Los Angeles in the 70s and early 80s Johnnie's was our "go to" hamburger joint. They had whole delicious pickles, juicy, perfectly done burgers and elderly waitresses. On a recent trip to L.A. we went back and found delicious pickles (now cut into thick slices) perfectly done burgers and elderly waitresses. The fries and coleslaw are still just as good and the juke boxes are still there.
It's not often one returns to an old haunt to find it virtually unchanged.

Dinner at Akasha was ideal! A table by the window overlooking the outdoor patio/street/Kirk Douglas Theater with its iconic 'CULVER' marquee added to the experience. Great interior ambiance...lots of exposed bricks, dim lighting, manageable noise level. Friendly, efficient waitstaff. Creative cocktails. Kale Caesar salad and apple salad w blue cheese were yummy.
