Top 10 restaurants in Crescent City, United States

April 15, 2018 Diedre Savory

Crescent City (Chetco-Tolowa: Taa-’at-dvn, Yurok: Kohpey, Wiyot: Daluwagh ) is the county seat of, and only incorporated city in, Del Norte County, California. Named for the crescent-shaped stretch of sandy beach south of the city, Crescent City had a total population of 7,643 in the 2010 census, up from 4,006 in the 2000 census. The population includes inmates at Pelican Bay State Prison, also within the city limits, and the former census-designated place Crescent City North annexed to the city. The city is also the site of the Redwood National Park headquarters, as well as the historic Battery Point Light. Due to the richness of the local Pacific Ocean waters and the related catch, and ease of access, Crescent City Harbor serves as home port for numerous commercial fishing vessels.

On our one night in Crescent City we had some ice cream at CC's Diner. The prices were very good and the portions of ice cream were huge! I had espresso chip and my husband had chocolate chip cookie dough. Try it out if you are in the mood for ice cream!

Vita Cucina

Culinary Institute of America trained chefs/owners Devon & Michelle Morgante. We love to cook and bake everything from Michelle’s quiches, morning glory and bran muffins baked daily to my house cured and smoked pastrami, ham, Turkey and bacon. We bake all of our own breads: focaccia for our Turkey, Cuban, breakfast sandwiches and specials; I also bake what we call an artisan loaf which is slightly sour and a sour dough loaf that is made from a starter I created using blackberries from my backyard. The menu change weekly and reflects the cravings of the cooks. On Thursdays and Fridays nights after 4:00 pm we serve pizzas. Top your pizza pie with some of our homemade topping like: pesto, garlic white sauce, sausage (yes, I grind my own sausages), roasted garlic, roasted mushrooms, smoked chicken, roasted pork and locally made Rumiano cheese. Thank you for your time

We stopped here and just got a couple of pastries. They have a big menu, and we didn't try anything else. It was just ok, nothing spectacular. Service was good, but was a little on the expensive side. If we have time, we will try other things on the menu.

They make such yummy coffee beverages...my favorite is the mocha melt! They have drive-thru service as well as a "come on in and stay!" atmosphere. It is located right with the Fairgrounds (where the Farmers Market is located Sat. during the season), and has its own parking. Also has WiFi, and friendly folks!!

Perlita's Authentic Mexican Restaurant

A little Mexican restaurant we found driving up 101 from San Jose to Oregon. Food was great and service was good and fast. It was a nice lunch stop after a long morning of driving.

Could easily have missed this place from the road at night. Simple interior. Seated right away and waiter was a young 12/13 year old lad. Ordered the huarache supreme (oval fried tortilla with tomato, meat, cactus and beans topped with cabbage and quesa fresco) and a Pacifico. Pretty busy for 30 min before closing. Seems family-run and frequented by locals. All good signs. Beer was ice-cold and huarache freshly prepared and all elements of it were delicious, especially the nopalitos. Very impressed. Nice and light too. Bargain at about $13. Amazing.

This was the best chai latte I have had in Fort Collins. Oregon chai is less sweet and more spicy than the one served at Starbucks. The servers here were fun - personable, authentic and funky. I'll go back!

My daughter is a bit of a beer geek so she and I decided to do some exploring of Crescent City and wanted to check out this brewery. We shared a flight and enjoyed almost every pour. Nice and courteous staff, however service was a tiny bit slow but it didn’t really matter. The food was good pub food. The fried pickles were pretty satisfying and I had the walnut and cranberry salad. Fresh and tasty greens. My daughter had the wings and said they were quite tasty. We’ll be back!

We are a full service restaurant. We have outside seating along with inside. Our menu has a large selection of entrees along with beer & wine. There is also ice cream for the warm days. Along side our restaurant we will be renting bikes, SUPs & kayaks. Our outside area will be a nice place to relax on those long summer days. Please come on down and visit us, we have the best sunsets in town!

Visited Crescent City on a cold, rainy Sunday in November. Saw this place and decided to try, very happy we went there. The calamari strips are some of the best I have had. Tender and crispy. Not a fan of the dip provided, but they were good without dip.

Fried shrimp were very good for west coast. Being from the Gulf coast, we like to think fried shrimp should have a bit more pop to it.

All in all, we would return.

Service was friendly and good.
