Chinandega (Spanish pronunciation: [tʃinanˈdeɣa]) is a city and the departmental seat of Chinandega department (4,822.42 km) in Nicaragua. It is also the administrative centre of the surrounding municipality of the same name. It is Nicaragua's fifth largest city, with a population of 134,720 inhabitants (2015), and with 151,000 in the municipality. It is located about 134 km (80 miles) northwest of Managua and about 72 km (45 miles) southwest of El Guausaule, on the border with Honduras.

Went with a group on a Sunday afternoon. Very nice selection of local seafood and pastas and beef. Excellent service. There was a local female singer entertaining. Nice vbeach side view of the harbor and ocean. I would go there again

We went to this restaurant on our first night in Nicaragua. It is within walking distance of a hotel (Los Portales)
The staff were friendly, the food good and the prices very reasonable. You sit outside under a thatched room. Not fancy but very enjoyable.
I would highly recommend.

The typical from them it's the succulent Pollo Deshuesado (boneless chicken) also they have a variety of tipical meat from Nicaragua. The owner it's a friendly sir that cooked everything by him self. Don't expect to have a luxury lunch or dinner there. They can improve their cleaning.

I was there with friends and family from Canada and Chinandega in November 2014. I loved the Gaucho Steak Or Churassco. Topped with Chimichurri and washed down with Toña Cerverzas puts you in a carnivorous heaven. I heading back to Chinandega in two weeks and plan on a return visit.

We sat up on the upper deck which allowed us to watch the world spin by...saw a woman clutching a pinata as she was wheeled by the three wheeled bicycle carts that a are every where. Both dishes that we tried were excellent, including fileted of chicken and red snapper fish. Nice side of to stones and different sauces were available, like jalapeño sauce or chimichurri sauce. A great find in this bustling town that is a bit confusing for the traveler!

This is the place where the locals go to eat. They have several dishes and specials of the day. You get a plate full of delicious food. They serve all the favorites of Nicaragua including beef, chicken and fish. Of course they have the rice and beans, the staple of life. You can eat there or take it home or back to your hotel. The portions are huge and filling. The price for the quality and amount of food is great. You really get enough to almost feed two people.

We offer breakfast, lunch and dinner: enjoy from our selection of fresh sandwiches, wraps, hot dogs, and paninis. Nice little cafe in the heart of Chinandega. The burritos are quite good but sandwiches are amazing!! You should try their fruit smoothies and they also have pastries and cup cakes. Almost forgot to mention they have AC which is very important in the Chinandega heat!

I was at this café with my family, there was a good range of options to eat something fresh, nice and quickly. The location on weekdays is notthe best of you are driving, but on the weekends there is plenty of parking space. The ladies at the front desk are not always smiling, but the coffee is good enough to come back again.

I have been visiting this great coffee shop for over a year now. Staff members are committed to provide a great service and always eager to hear suggestions and comments. They always want to improve and make every guests visit unique and more enjoyable every time.
Definitely this cafe looks as if it was taken from somewhere else and put in the middle of Chinandega. A place to visit when passing through the city.

Restaurante a la carta y buffet. El mejor sabor y ambiente agradable en Chinandega. Tenemos salas climatizadas y area en corredor. Nos especializamos en carnes y mariscos a la parilla. Ademas ofrecemos servicio buffet de lunes a sabado de 11:30 am a 3:00 pm. Atendemos todos los dias de 11:30 am a las 9:30 pm.
