WE booked in for Christmas lunch here as the previous year we had a great time.What a disappointment it was this year though.We ordered the Cheese platter to start.It came to the table with a few crackers for the three of us.I am not a great lover of soft cheese but there was only on hard cheese to be had.The Main was a help yourself.I had the meat,vegetables,potatoes and gravy.The best way that i can describe the meal apart from the gravy is that the cheese was warmer than the main meal apart from the lukewarm gravy.I know there is a fine line between keeping food hot and letting it dry out,but come on,they are suppose to be professionals working here.With the money they charged i would have been better off with a plate of cold meat and a salad,something that not even they could get wrong.I only wish that i could give them no stars but i can't.So the one star goes to the staff in the dining room and nothing for the so called kitchen staff.

I chose Hobarts over a number of other options due to their AGFG 2 hat status. Unfortunately the experience didn't quite stack up to the promise. We had the seven course degustation. The first two dishes could have been great but were let down by the fried elements that felt a little lazy. The chicken dish was the highlight but many of the dishes had a very high sugar content and not well balanced leaving you looking forward to sweets less than you would normally be. You couldn't help feeling that much of the dish had been prepared and not freshly made. The lamb was cool instead of piping hot.
The staff were absolutely delightful but the break between courses was way too long. unfortunately the atmosphere was spoilt by a loud mouth, very rough woman seated in the centre of the restaurant, talking about some real no-go things when eating. Having been initially uncertain about the restaurants location in the leagues club, this confirmed my fears. She seemed to be well known to the staff and chef.
The ideas behind the dishes were inventive but I just felt they lacked something in execution. I don't think you could score this restaurant head of some of the more notable, consistent performers on the AGFG score board that come behind it.

Well what a great experience the food was authentic and very very tasty. I stumbled across this restaurant and I was not disappointed in most cases food is catered for the westerners palate but, not this place. We decided to eat in however, the takeaway orders were walking out the door one after another. This is certainly a restaurant that require many return visits which is now programmed in the the GPS.

I have eaten here twice both using the entertainment voucher. The staff are always so helpful and friendly but our experience with the food and Delivery isn't so good.
This restaurant is always busy and full of people. The service is great up until the food has been delivered.
The last time I ate here my meal was delivered 10 minutes after my partners and it was the wrong thing I ordered, they said it was what I ordered and I was made to pay for it.
I will not be returning to this venue again.

Was so looking forward to trying this Restaurant as the reviews were so favourable BUT...we didn't find this to be so, which was unfortunate for us, haven't had Korean for years & Pete had never had.....Calamari pancakes were so very greasy with no flavour, had to ask for chilli sauce so we could eat...the seafood bbq's were very ordinary....loved kimchi & side salads, really flavoursome with that awesome dressing which we just had to drink so, poured it into little bowl that was supplied & drank...this unfortunately was the only highlight.

Great sushi place! The atmosphere is different with the conveyor belt style dining. Food is pretty fresh and they are always willing to make your sushi to order if it's not available on the belt. Pretty quick service and great range of sushi (Chitos are the BEST) and main dishes. The place tends to fill up quickly so it's not ideal for larger groups at rush hour. (They also have a location on the opposite end of the centre if you're not willing to wait - its smaller but usually not busy and has the same menu)
Food portions are small and tend to get pricey the nicer the meat.
Ultimately, great sushi but small portions and can get pricey! Great for lunch or a night out.

We ordered take away from the Charlestown branch as we needed a quick meal. When we got the food home they had missed the sweet potato fries off the order. We didn't have time to go back and get them so we did without, however I called to explain and they sent me a voucher for a free burger in the post. To use the voucher we decided to go in and eat. This time they missed my daughter's drink from the order! The kids burger is extremely bland - just a small piece chicken on a small dinner roll (not a nice soft bread roll) with lots of tomato ketchup, no salad.
Ultimately this restaurant is just a chain/franchise restaurant, the burgers are ok but nothing special and it's quite expensive for what you get. I'd only go back if there was nothing else in the area. If I fancy a burger I'd rather go to the new independent burger bar on the highway.

Regularly eat here every 2 weeks or so..........really basic laminex table old shop, with some outdoor Seating. No tablecloths, BYO, however, a favourite for locals . Meals are large, veal bosicali , pepper steak are amazing. All served with same fresh veggies. Pasta are great and the best pizzas in Newcastle.....sauces are flavoursome and starting price for pizzas is $11.00 for small. Great place for families celebrating birthdays etc......tip...please book for large groups. Italian family run, who hasn't changed a thing in over 30 years......the best kind!!!
