Selten wird die Schweizer Kuche so kreativ und doch marktfrisch umgesetzt. Ziel ist es, dem Gemuse, Fleisch oder Fisch seinen wahren ursprunglichen Geschmack zu entlocken, deren ureigene Aromen verwegen gegeneinander auszuspielen und so optimal zur Entfaltung zu bringen. In a cosy environment directly in the old town, you can choose some excellent meals very well presented by an efficient service team. The beef steak that I tried was really succulent!

Chutzpah! The prices are astronomical, they do not have any correlation with the quality of the food, which is mediocre. The waiters have no knowledge of Thai food. They were pleasant enough, but neophytes and clueless about Thai food, nonetheless. One thing must be said: if you get a table by the window on a nice day, the views of the lake and sun setting behind the Alps may help you heal some of the sticker shock. So dear owners, rename this restaurant: Buenavista Restaurant (which serves Thai food)

It was my first time I went to this nice Restaurant in Risch. The beautiful building with a lot of wood, where you apparently can buy all furniture is welcoming decorated. the prices are below zug area standards, same if you have the menu of the day or if you eat "a la carte".
i would not mind returning when in the area.

We visited as a group on a Saturday evening, having previously booked. We were welcomed and shown to our table in a very friendly manner. All the food we had was good but the starters, dessert and wine/beer were on the expensive side, even for Switzerland. We split the bill and even though only half the people had starters and 10% of the group had desserts, each person paid CHFr 75, which I feel is more than I would want to pay.

Went with friends for a special dinner. First, Aklin's location is very special. Located in the Old Town of Zug, the setting is picturesque and unique.
The inside of the restaurant is intimate and the service led by the restauranteur Gregory Walker is so special that makes you feel like a king from the minute you arrive until the last sip of Etter sherry brandy.
The food deserves another paragraph. A very special one. The meat comes from the butcher downstairs. We had a Chateaubriand with bearnaise sauce. As Chef Gordon Ramsay says: "It is to die for"
For me, it is a required stop if you are in Zug, Zurich, Swiss and Europe :)

Fischmark offers very tasty Italian food in cosy surroundings in the scenic Old Town of Zug close to the lake. The service was warm and friendly, the wine list is extensive and good value by Swiss standards. Portions are in line with Italian norms - so the ravioli is a primo platte serving. The Panna cotta was very tasty to close and we would certainly return. Three courses at dinner with wine and sparkling water was CHF 80 a person.

The Blinker in Cham "in the Pampa" as the Host Umberto Erni would say, is a hidden treasure of exquisite dining with a touch of sophisticated simplicity. Umberto and his team are a fantastic host and make you feel at home. The Food is of superior quality, the atmosphere is friendly and comfortable. Umberto's team undergoes a challenging selection process and is among the best you can get. Umberto is the King of Gastronomy in Zug and the wider Swiss Gastronomy landscape. Book a table in advance or walk in spontaneously - the guest always feels welcome.

Quintessential Italian in Zug. We enjoyed the Set menu (3 or 4 courses), all of which was excellent. Good portion size....not too much, with attentive service without being overbearing. Varied and reasonable wine list. And had the weather cooperated, we could have enjoyed our meal on the patio with an awesome view of the city and Lake Zug.
