Crepe Soleil

We found this place by wandering around an open-air mall. My daughter-in-law eats gluten-free and the food looked great so we gave it a try.

The savory crepes we had for dinner were delicious; the fillings just in the perfect proportion.

The dessert crepes were extraordinary and cooked peerfectly, using the same technique on the streets of Paris.

My mouth is watering, just writing this review!

So me and my friends had a huge exam and so afterwards we rewarded ourself a with some ice cream. I want to start off by saying that I'm not from PA, I am from CT and if anyone know anything about Pralines, I am telling you it is better than that. Honest to god, they have more flavors and it's absolutely to die for.

The blue corn calamari was awesome I could make a meal of that. The salad was underdressed but fresh. I probably should have asked for more dressing. Service was great very pleasant wait staff. My vegetarian friend didn't have much to choose from they gave her a vegetarian menu that had meat on everything and was told they could substitute beans. If you are going to have a separate vegetarian menu take the meat off of it, don't cut and paste and then have a disclaimer.

Bolete Restaurant and Inn

Reviewed By MacungieJohn - Macungie, Pennsylvania

I have been wanting to visit Bolete for a few years. My wife is not a fan of French food, so never top of the list on date night. Finally convinced to her to come along. We arrived just a few minutes early, and decided to wait on a better table. The place is very quaint, and full of character. Not very big, but tables are spaced such they don’t feel cramped. Started with drinks in the bar. They were good, although could have been colder. The wait staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive, and were more than accommodating for my wife’s selective taste. I started with Foie Gras, which was not listed, but Chef still had a piece available. My wife started with chips from the bar. Both were very good. The Foie gras was gilled, and served with a bed of greens and polenta, the combination was excellent. My wife chips were also very good. For main course, my wife ordered ribeye steak and I ordered wild bass. The bass was exceptional, and served over a bed of squash, mushrooms and bacon. The flavor of the sauce was amazing. My wife’s steak was cooked perfectly, and server with mashed potatoes. The steak was good, not great. For a ribeye, did not have as much taste, and was a little tough. The potatoes were very good. The biggest disappointment was the wine. The wine list is very limited, and the nicer bottle we ordered was just average. I did find out later can bring your own, although with a $25 corking fee. That seems a little high. For dessert, had the chocolate mousse tart and two coffees. The dessert was very good, although the coffee was a little weak. I also ask myself, would I recommend and would I go back. The answer is yes to both. The rating of 4 vs 5, is that it was not the perfect meal for the reasons I list above, but that doesn’t take away from the fine food being served.

I must say I didn't know what to expect of Braveheart. I thoroughly enjoyed our visit though. Jess was our server and she was absolutely fabulous. She answered all of our questions and give us suggestions also. It's very refreshing to see someone enjoy her job. We started off with cocktails and the key lime martini was great. We also had the Creamsicle martini which was very good too. This was the last day of restaurant week so there were three course specials for only $15 which was a great deal. Shepherds pie the fish and chips the Bridie Meals were all excellent.
There is also an extensive beer list which made my husband very happy too. Very wonderful night, very good experience definitely check out Braveheart.
