Wer große Portionen bei einer gut bürgerlichen Küche mag ... ist hier gut aufgehoben. Wir waren heute mit Freunden dort zum Essen. Der Service ist freundlich und schnell ... die Portionen sind groß ... Wir hatten Knoblauch Steaks die ihrem Namen alle Ehre machten ... das Fleisch war gut und ... wie bestellt ... auf den Punkt gebracht. Die Steaks haben bestimmt an die 300g, für unsere Verhältnisse und den Hunger zu groß, wir hatten aber vierbeinige Verstärkung und Unterstützung dabei . Der Feldsalat vorab war lecker und gut zubereitet.
Mit Wein, Wasser und Espresso nach dem Essen haben wir für 4 Personen 130€ bezahlt ... ein passendes Preis Leistungs Verhältnis.

Nice view over the Rhine Valley into France and the Vogesen Mountains from the terrasse. Ulmer beer on tap, unfortunately only small glasses to be had though.
I had the sirloin steak with herbal butter and fries, very good and cooked just as I ordered it. My wife had the Salmon with Linguine in a curry sauce. Both were very good, and I can recommend this location wholeheartedly.

A colourful restaurant environment welcomes guests at the Hotel Engel in B��hl. The centre of the restaurant is the so-called Dorfplatz (village square) in the middle of which there is actually a tree. Go through a wrought-iron gate into the Via Mala where you will hear the burbling sound of a waterfall. If it is views you are after, then come and relax in the conservatory. The Schnapsst��ble is a suitable venue for convivial parties, where the restaurant serves its own home-distilled brandies. The restaurant serves good traditional food from Baden, including meat and fish dishes. Wild game is a particular speciality at the Engel, and they have a wide selection of dishes. Guests can look forward to a reasonably priced lunchtime menu. There are two meeting rooms with event technology for business functions, each catering for 20 people. Private parties for up to 100 people can be held in the Schwarzwaldstube (Black Forest Lounge). The B��rgerhaus in B��hl can host 600 guests.

This very typical deep-in-the-countryside Teutonic restaurant was fully occupied on a Sunday evening.
The trout filet was as a good trout ought to be; fresh, mild and subtly bland. The Apfelstrudel was fairly tasty as well as the coffee.
The accompanying Siegbert Bimmerle Grauer Burgunder Kabinett was very reasonably priced at 13,50 EUR, a damn fine Pinot Gris which retails around 10 EUR.
Service was friendly and fast. The bill for two including mineral water came close to 75 EUR.

We enjoyed our meal in the outside Terrace which was nice and quiet (away from any main streets, so there was no traffic noise). There were some different Italian dishes from the usual, and it was nice to try something different. Everything was fresh and tasty prepared by the husband, who came out of the kitchen a couple times to ask how everything was. The wife was also friendly, helpful, and very attentive. (They made a great team.) Perhaps, they could expand the wine list a little.
If you are ever in Buhl, we recommend eating here.

This is a fantastic restaurant with great German food using local produce. The portion sizes are very good, the taste and food quality outstanding. We sat in the garden and it was really lovely, however the main dining room also looked very inviting. The lamb, chicken and goat dishes were all outstanding. This was a very lovely dining experience and I would highly recommend a drive and Sunday lunch at Lamms.

Interesting combination of Czech and German specialties. The owner-chef, Pavel Pospisil, has won some prestigious prices. As far as we could judge, these are fully deserved. We had a very nice dinner with wines to match the courses.
We also stayed in the cozy hotel and had a nice breakfast.
We ceratinly will come back here when we're travelling near this place. It is an excellent stopover when travelling to (or from) the Netherlands from (or to) Northern Italy or Switzerland.

When I first walked down town by my own I didn't notice this lovely place (Sunday closed), but some days after a German friend of mine chose randomly this place, and it was perfect, so typical food, ambiance, music, kind services to be German, you can find typical Germans food of the region and also drinks! I would definitely come back!! Open until mid night Tuesday to Saturday, not expensive and great great place to stay so German style

This was actually a restaurant that I had picked out before the trip. Parking is very close in the nearby garage (a downtown area). We checked out some other restaurants/bars, but the area was quite dead (we thought it would be packed w/opening day of Oktoberfest...we missed something). Meier's is a short walk from the garage, I didn't even realize it was Meier's until we got a business card from them. The restaurant is definitely not well marked, almost looks like a pension. The steak and fries were good, as was the beer. The service was excellent, waitress spoke English and gave us an English menu. The restaurant had a very good atmosphere (many more people than the downtown area) and very good décor.

A good and simple meal, with comfortable and typical German food (when we visited, there was also a delicious hamburger available) The place has a very nice decoration, it's a chalet with few tables and few options on the menu. However the food is very tasty, homemade and the service was very polite. I can only recommend.

The most stunning location that I have ever stayed at. Built in the grounds of Burg Windeck castle this is a hotel that you must stay at if visiting the area.
Dinner and drinks watching the sunset was just fabulous. The mushroom ravioli was fantastic.
Bed was very comfortable for us. Room very clean.
Highly recommended. Would stay again.
