Visited this wonderful restaurant during a long weekend away. Completely exceeded our expectations.
Firstly, the service was first class. Then the food............blew us away.
The attention to detail was the first thing we noticed, everything had been prepared and presented with the utmost care.
Secondly, the quality of the dishes was second to none. The chef deserves a Michelin star, serving up generous portions too at very reasonable prices.
The ambience was magical, right by the river.
The staff put the cherry on the cake, they really looked like they enjoyed their work.
Hardly surprising as they were receiving so many compliments.
Well done to all of you!

Recently risked a quick take away hatte despite the less than flattering reviews (1 star hygiene rating for example!).

Because of this, we didn't order much and tried to avoid too much meat to minimise risk of getting ill. (see review below mine!).
The vegetable fried rice we ordered was pretty dire and tasted of msg. The crispy chilli beef dish was actually OK though.
We didn't eat in the restaurant but from what we could see it didn't have much of an atmosphere. The only people in there were the local nevs waiting for their takeaway. Wouldn't go back to be honest.

We roast all our own beans on site, and we are passionate about the coffees, teas, milkshakes, smoothies, hot chocolates and cakes that we sell. We don't serve food as such, but feel free to bring in your own Sandwich, we don't mind at all. Good dogs always welcome....

This restaurant has one of the best locations in one of the prettiest Cotswold villages, overlooking the picturesque stream in the middle of the village. We were lucky enough to get the corner table with double aspect overlooking the water. Lunch was relatively simple but delicious -- a very good burger made from local mince and an excellent bakery bun, an excellent omelette, and perfectly good ham and eggs -- all served with lovely chunky chips. The house wine was also good and reasonably priced. Desserts of local homemade ice cream and sticky toffee pudding were very good, although one of us thought the sauce for the toffee pudding was a bit too sweet. Not a major issue, however. I suspect that this place would be very crowded in the summer months, though plenty of Seating inside and out seemed available. There is a parking lot a short walk away by the model village site.

Friendly waitress seated us and took order promptly. Wife had jacket potato with cheese, only downside was butter came separately and spud was full of cheese already. No big deal but got it sorted. . I had an egg and Mayo baguette which was lovely too with a side bowl of chips. Pot of tea for 2 completed a nice lunch. Overall nice.

We are an owner operated traditional tearoom. Much of our menu is made here on the premises, including Soups, Dressings, Sauces, Jams and of course all of our cakes and scones. We make everything from basic ingredients, not pre prepared mixes. Our coffee and tea is Fairtrade. The coffee is freshly ground and we use loose leaf tea, with the exception of herbal teas. We aim to source our produce locally as we believe in supporting local suppliers where possible. We also provide a wide selection of Gluten Free meals, including homemade Gluten Free scones, so a cream tea can be had by everyone!Vegetarian options are always available. We are visited by many customers time and time again, along with strong support from locals who live in the town. Regular hours are 10am to 4.00pm (5pm Saturdays). Please note we are closed on Sundays and Thursdays.

Lovely lunch, the tearoom was full all the time we were there, with a great turnover of customers. My daughter had spicy vegetable soup with brie and cranberry Sandwich and I really enjoyed my jacket potato with coronation chicken and a lovely salad.
Always good service and a friendly atmosphere. We shall be back next time we meet at Stow, our midway point.
Congratulations, Jeanne M.Watkins.

What a treat. Four of us squeezed on to a small table for a light lunch on our way to the Pudding Club in Mickleton. Two of us had soup and a roll, one Welsh Rarebit on crumpets and a BLT toasted sarnie. We all agreed it was delicious and very sensibly priced.
