This restaurant stands out for the service. The waiters are well prepared to suggest wines and explain their dishes. The food is very good as well.
The only thing we did not like was the noise of dishes and silverware clinking all the time. Although it is nothing hard to solve (a background music would do it), it was a bit annoying to hear that. It kind of spoils the environment.

This restaurant is located in Caminhos das Pedras, a lane which crisscrosses the countryside in Bento Gonçalves. It is set in a stone house, original from the Italian settlement time. They offer a set menu with capeletti soup, fried 'polenta' and cheese, roasted chicken and some beef cuts, apart from potato and radicci salads. I 've been there before, but unfortunately the quality has decayed, while the price has increased. Such a disappointment!!!

It is everything that makes a meal special. In this case it was Jaqueline that introduced us to the fine wines of Vallontano and then Michele the chef that cooked us our meal that was simple and excellent and matched the taste of the Vallontano reds we drank, a glass of two different ones, and our conversation during and after with both of them that made the luncheon meal so special for me. They made me feel special. Hearing the music of the Doors rock group as I entered was wonderful on this late June afternoon winter's day with a warmth and brightness to the day. The restaurant is located in the basement of the hotel. It has a small number of tables. The specialty is the sequence of pastas, but we opted for a la carte dishes. All dishes were well served and very tasty. The attention of the waiters was very good. It is an interesting place to go when you're staying at the hotel, although most of the clients are not staying at the hotel.

When one visits the vineyard area of Bento Gonçalves and ist surroundings, one ends up getting tired of the typical Italian food. Then it is time to have dinner at Caldeiras, an excellent contemporary restaurant. The service is friendly, for the owner and chef is a very talkative and interesting guy. But beware: waiting time can be long, and reservarions are a must.

What a great surprise!!!
After a great experience at mama gema I decided to try the pizza at night at Pizza entre Vinhos, and I was not disappointed!!!
The restaurant it's quite spacious but busy so if you arrive late night you might have to wait a wile for be sited down, there are a few places where you can sit to wait and have a wine or a sparkling wine.
The service it's good and fast, pizza came in last then 15 minutes.
Many options for vegetarians and a very good thin doe pizza with very good toppings, fresh and quality ingredients including some very good quality cheese, and I guess wood oven .
Wine it's located organized in shelfs on the restaurant so you don't have to look at the menu just walk around and choose your bootle .
Great option and best pizza in the wine region

Nice place. Very good home made pasta, you will be guided to chose 6 among almost 12 different pastas. Not exactly an awesome ambience, but it is well worth the price.
