Save room for cake!!! Italian dishes and pizzas are delicious - but the real star is the flourless chocolate cake. Busy times would probably require a reservation. Belfast is small enough that you could always stroll Main Street while you wait for a table, making you extra hungry for dessert.

Moonbat City Baking

This a small, well maintained coffee and bakery spot! The pastries are all prepared in house and are very good! The staff is very friendly. And the coffee is organic and flavorful, with a free refill available. The only drawback is that Moonbat isn't open on several days of the week, and when it is open, it closes in the early afternoon, so one sometimes will have fewer goodies from which to choose if you get there later in the day.

Young's Lobster Pound

Went there last year and things changed from the last time I was there, which was a few years ago. The food was okay but it seems they sub out some of the meals on the menu now. It's not just a lobster pound anymore. They have hot meals now. But they seemed to be very unorganized putting it together. Haven't been back since.

The Chocolate Drop Candy Shop

We love the atmosphere in this family-run business. Owners Joan and Dave are incredibly friendly and make you feel at home! And—in the background—the 1950s rock and roll bops on! The counter, stools, and even the napkin holders and dishes also take you back to the mid-20th century, as do the crisp red-and-white uniforms and hats on the Back to the Future staff members, who are eager to serve you!

And, of course, there is the terrific selection of Roundtop ice cream available for eating on the spot or to take out in containers. You can even get an egg cream here! We also love the candy selections, particularly the chocolate turtles!

This is a great place to hang out and satisfy your sweet tooth!

I am not a vegetarian, but when I was looking for a place for lunch - this restaurant was packed! I decided that was a good sign and gave it a try. I had their soup special which was lentil. I ordered a cup, but the cup size is served in a bowl. It was very tasty and filling. I was worried I wouldn't be able to eat my entree. I ordered pasta with kale, olives and cheese. This was also flavorful and the crispy kale gave it a nice texture. I can see why it is so busy - great food and friendly staff is the key to success!

Serving authentic Laotian and Thai Cuisine

Reviewed By svYonder - Portsmouth, New Hampshire

You would not expect this restaurant in Belfast, but it is terrific. Everything very fresh, tastes were consistent with good Thai food elsewhere. Have to request spicy. Drunken noodles were very nicely prepared, and Vietnamese rice noodle soup excellent and huge portion. Mostly seating is outside, very few, like two, maybe three tables inside. If weather is good, the deck will be crowded. If it is jacket weather, you may get a seat

Steaks, seafood and kicked up comfort food on Belfast Harbor. Sit outside on our deck steps from the harbor in season or inside in our cozy dining room year round. Daily specials, local seafood and produce, local beer on tap or in a bottle, wines by the glass or bottle and specialty cocktails.

Stopped here for a quick bite as we walked along the Belfast Harbor. Had a good shrimp po'boy with a side of better than average fries. The views of the harbor are an added bonus.
