We stopped in this town because we were told this is THE town to get Mozzarella di Bufala (we were on the way to the old ruins of Paestum) ... Instead of searching for a shop with Mozzarella, we ended up in this cosy restaurant for lunch.
We ate a carpaccio of beef with rucola, mozzarella with tomatoes, and after that we each had some pasta. The prices were very honest, the wine list was very good (a choice of cheap and more expensive wines). I couldn't think of a better spot to stop in this town for a good meal! Very friendly owner.

I went here for lunch one day and returned the following day because it was so good! I'm a vegetarian who doesn't speak Italian. The staff helped me with what little English they knew and were able to bring me a meal that was vegetarian....MoreWe are so thankful about your words. A real italian "on the road" experience! Authentic street food, original architecture ( a mixture between a mid-west motel and an italian Alpine hut) the noise of the trucks as a background and soundtrack; glazed with heavy trasparent plastic curtains; excellent pizza and excellent panuozzo ( a special kind of bread-loaf stuffed with wathever (tasty!)). Fast service, 5 minutes between order and getting your meal. Very crowded during the rush hours. Help yourself and enjoy your beer and panuozzo over a wide comfortable wooden table. Very honest prices.

It was late a t night on Monday evening and due to some late tasks in the area we were searching for a good pizza.
The owner welcomed us and found sits for some 15 of us without any problem despite the place is not so huge.
Good pizza and salami/cheese starters were accompanied with special beers.
Deserts were also special as well the courtesy of service.

Locale caratteristico appena fuori dalla città, situato sulla statale, ideale per i residenti, ma soprattutto anche per i turisti. Pizza davvero buona e molto digeribile. Prodotti discreti e prezzi nella media locale. Serizio buono e veloce. Ci ritorneremo

This is the home of la strappata a pizza that's cooked but with raw cheese and meat on top.
Worth a try please note this place is extremely popular with locals so expect to wait. All in all well worth the wait. Great red house wine and staff are friendly.
