We stopped here for dessert. Interesting decor. Irish coffee is very good and the cheese cake is as good as it gets. Will have to try this place for a meal sometime.

I enjoyed a hotdog and an order of onion rings. Everything was hot and fresh. The best part was the chocolate shake.....rich and creamy like mom used to make at home!

We missed a flight and needed some food! Saw this place listed and thought why not! Diners are always yummy! Great sandwiches and prices and the sweet tea is amazing! Skip the chains, come here!!! You won't regret it at all!!!

PROS: close to the main attractions at the riverfront; excellent tasting food- we had the smoked then fried chicken wings and half a rack of ribs- excellent! fast service . located inside an old train station so it's unique.
CONS:none. just know the portions are big so you can probably split one order and just order more if needed.

This place has been around for many many years and a part of fond childhood memories so I might be a bit bias. The loaf bread, garlic bread and red sauce is amazing! It was many years ago and still is! It is always responsible for a 5 pound weight gain when I visit Bartonville because I simply can't stop eating it. So good!

This is a typical river bar that has a unique tropical décor and feel. It almost feels like a Jimmy Buffett’s Margaretville without the sky-high prices. The river view from the patio is enjoyable to watch as there are lots of boat and barge activities going on.
We ordered the Super Nachos. This is a monstrous pile of tortilla chips covered in meat, nacho cheese, black olives, tomatoes, onions and jalapeños, with a side of sour cream and salsa for only $10.00 These super nachos is a completed meal for two people…..no further entree need to be ordered.
The menu had lots of interesting selections, and prices are reasonable. This place was very busy, so the service was somewhat slow. We will come back here someday.

Sugar has expanded out onto the sidewalk and even in cold weather there is more seating available. This allows more patrons to enjoy the best gourmet pizza in town. They have a good beer selection and tasty sandwiches and wraps as well. We dropped in on a Saturday at 6 p.m. and were out by 6:45 with happy stomachs and taste buds.

There are at least 3 places that serve pizza in this town but everyone seems to favor this one when asked. It was an average pizza and the crust/dough was borderline mediocre. Perhaps it is all about value & personal taste when it comes to pizza

My wife and I visited Granite City for Sunday Brunch, and we are so glad that we did! While the restaurant was very busy, they were able to get us in quickly, the waitstaff was extremely friendly and quick, and the buffet was wonderful. I would say this is one of my favorite breakfast locations in town, and I would highly recommend it!
