Although the state of Santa Catarina has the largest fleet of comercial fishing boat in the country, it is a mighty difficult task to find decent places to eat seafood. Most of the restaurante don't have fresh seafood to serve, most serve deep fried fish only with vegetables and other stuff thrown in the plate to take space, with concern what-so-ever with our poor taste buds. It took me a long time and experimentation to discover the Restaurante Siri and that DID satisfied my taste buds. Since the beginning and for many years, the chef, Paula Scherner (she has now left us but she is still my preferred chef), has planned a menu to make your eyes pop and your taste buds thank the decision of eating at the Siri. The tradition continues, despite the absence of Paula. Val, her husband and now the only owner of the restaurant, is in great part responsible for the quality of the plates. He goes after fresh catch in the surrounding artisanal fish communities and buys everything fresh. Special not has to go to the chinooks (robalos) and the shrimp at the right size! The plates are simple but they taste fantastic! I am a fan of the grilled chinook with vegetables accompanied by an incredible "farofa" (meal)..if they don't bring the "farofa" with your plate, ask for it. And if you like, buy some and take home! All this served with a great draft beer or a wine bottle (or a glass) that Val will help you choose from his cellar! Excellent choices of drinks (including the cachaça). Interact with other clients in nice conversations at the bar, And during cold nights in the winter, the fire place will likely be going. There are good desert option, but my preferred is the flambéed fruits with ice cream... WOW..there goes my tastebuds again. Well... just enjoy your lunch or dinner! You will not regret. Price? Well, you get what you pay for. Not too cheap nor too expensive. Just the right price if you are willing to have a great experience in gastronomy.

Localizado no bairro/balneário de Itajuba, em Barra Velha, o restaurante fica um tanto escondido, numa rua transversal às avenidas principais do lugar. E o achado compensa amplamente. Fomos em quatro pessoas e pedimos Eisbein defumado à pururuca. Um prato, que é generosamente servido, dá perfeitamente para duas pessoas. Muito bom! O custo-benefício é muito bom, pois a excelente qualidade do prato, muito bem guarnecido (por salsichas, chucrute, raiz forte, batatas, mostarda,...), sai por cerca de R$ 90,00. Outro detalhe: o chope servido, muito bom, é produzido no próprio restaurante, onde você também é atendido pelo proprietário.

Fomos fazer um petisco durante a semana e fomos muito bem atendido pelo Senhor que é dono do restaurante, não me recordo o nome dele!! Quem cozinha e a esposa dele é uma cozinheira de mão cheia!! Tudo simples e gostoso!!! Fomos muito bem atendidos e batemos um excelente papo com ele e a esposa!! E estrutura está cada vez melhor!! Parabéns!!!!

o restaurante tem vista para uma especie de laguna. fica bem proximo a avenida beira mar. o estacionamneto é grande e gratuito. o atendimento muito bom e a comida excelente. para um restaurante a beira mar, os preços são adequados. precisa de uma reforma pois a estrutura é antiga, mas nao atrapalha a experiência. recomendo bastante o local.

A previsão era de 40 min chegou 1h20 depois e ainda assim chegou porque liguei pra reclamar. A pizza veio fria embora nosso endereço fosse a duas quadras. A embalagem é tão pobre que a umidade levantou o fundo e era todo molenga. Pior a pizza fina, seca, fria, mal recheada e queimada ! Sim queimada ! Segue fotos. A qualidade de um ano atrás decaiu muito. Era muito bom quando era passando o túnel agora no novo endereço mudaram a qualidade. O preço é cerca de R$ 50,00 cada mas pela quantidade não vale nem R$20,00. Barra Velha tem outras opções de tele após muitos anos vou tentar qualquer uma delas, certamente será melhor . The place is well located, with a great view. Waiters are helpfull and fast. The food is not bad, not impressive. The beer (drafT) is of good quality. But that's it...nothing really that special. A good place to go if you don't have another one to visit.
