We stayed in Schull for just two nights and stopped in Hackett's Bar for an after dinner drink. There was live music on a Sunday evening and the place was quite lively. We had a wonderful visit with local characters. Everyone was welcoming and friendly--it was an evening to remember! If you want to go to a place where locals hang out--this is the place!

Dropped in for lunch.. Absolutely gorgeous.. Can't recommend the chicken fillet in garlic cream sauce highly enough.. Fantastic.. As mentioned in other reviews their house salad dressing is fab.. Very generous portions too.. Staff very friendly and welcoming too.. Enjoy ?

This is a real gem of a restaurant! So much so that whilst travelling the Wild Atlantic Way to do a recce for a phototour, we went on two consecutive evenings. The service was friendly, the ambience wonderful and the seafood outstanding. We will return with a group for sure!

I was there for dinner and can recommend this beautiful restaurant. We had great aperitifs, excellent choices at the starters buffet with fresh oysters, perfectly grilled lamb chops as main and a various choice of delicious Deserts. The staff is very professional and welcomes each guest. The dinner was accompanied by a piano player.

Antonio's is a family run authentic Italian Restaurant that produces the most delicious homemade pizzas. It has Seating upstairs and downstairs and easily caters for all occasions. The menu is varied and has plenty of choice other then pizza. The Italian icecream is to die for.
The staff are attentive and friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

There is something extravagant about this place. It's not the fact that they don't take Reservations nor the fact that it's a small room stuffed with people talking and eating and queuing. Therefore, it must be the food. I had a very enjoyable seafood platter followed by a vegetarian chilli - both delicious, while my son had a very appetising pizza.
The chalk board menu was full of options and the service was direct with a smile.

I had chicken skewers with a peanut sauce which was lovely.
Slow cooked beef Thai curry was delicious. Tasty & nourishing & perfectly spicy.
This restaurant was quiet & relaxing which is something some restaurants forget. Can't wait to return.

I received a warm welcome into this cozy and cleanly decorated dining room. The menu was modestly priced with a nice array of selections. I chose the baked hake with was both very fresh and cooked to perfection, as were the steamed veg and mashed potatoes. And did I mention how sweet and helpful the staff was. I passed this restaurant by twice since the street exposure is small and a bit cryptic given the busy surrounding. However, it was well work the effort to find this establishment since it truly is 5-stars!

Everything is wonderfully fresh from a limited amount of bar food items to excellent seafoods imaginatively prepared. We enjoyed excellent service and the host even moved our table to one by the window when there was availability. We were never rushed and enjoyed our dining experience.
