This restaurant is situated on a small lake. The dining room is very pretty - looks out onto the lake. We went as a group (meeting) and we didn't see the menu. Our hosts ordered the spareribs for us. They were very good! The ribs were all you can eat. They came with a baked potato and coleslaw. Service was good. Nice wine suggestion by the waiter. My colleagues had the rhubarb soup for dessert and said it was very good.

Viet Hoa's buffet is a great choice for eating out on a weekday. The buffet has several different asian style dishes wich all tastes delicious and seem like genuine asian cuisine. The restaurant is decorated in a kitsch asian style, but all in all it makes a really nice atmosphere. Personally I would not go here for a special ocasion, but if you don't feel like cooking dinner it really is worth a visit.

The food here in the evenings is a joy to eat. On my first night I ate the "English Steak." This is sirloin steak, and was a very goodly-sized portion. It came with a wonderful covering of fried onions, which I presume had been cooked in the juices from the steak. I would go as far as to say this was the best restaurant cooked steak I have EVER had. It came with perfectly boiled small potatoes, a cucumber salad, and a dish of home-made gravy. If I were to rate this out of ten, I would score it an eleven.
My second evening was spent attacking a man-sized weinerschnitzel, which again was excellent. the sauteed potatoes were lovely, and again a dish of home-made gravy. the beauty of the latter is that you can use as little or as much as you want to.
The starter I had of garlic bread was so good that I had it both nights. It comes nice and soft, with a nicely spiced flavour. Not too strong, but tasty. it was also topped with chopped tomatoes and, I think, finely choped parsely.
This is an excellent restaurant. The only little niggle is that the menu is a little lacking in depth.

Visited with a friend and wanted to go for running sushi, unfortunately we had forgotten to make Reservations but hoped for an available table. BUT although it was a tuesday night the restaurant was PACKED. The friendly staff invited us to sit at the window bar seats and start our meal there, after 10-15 minutes the waiter advised us to a table that had just cleared, right next to the running sushi. Really kind staff and great food with good sushi, you will find all different kinds of exciting sushi, not just the plane simpel ones. The running sushi also includes fresh fruit and two types of dessert. All in all a great every day sushi place.

In Ballerup, there are a few restaurants which Draw your attention.
The TukTuk is one of them.
Closed inside a courtyard off the main street, the TukTuk offers close-to-authentic Thai Food. Only fresh vegetables and meat is used, no bad notes on quality or taste.
It's up to you how spicy you want it, just tell the waiter.
Services is somewhat slow, but it's worth the waiting.
I've been to a few better Thai restaurants, and many a lot worse.
I'd recommend it for the good food and reasonable prices.

After being sent on several wild goose chases by my Garmin satnav to mobile food vans & places that did not exist of that were closed, I finally found some where for lunch. Was in a hurry so went for a kebab pizza which was produced within about 5 minutes. So far so good. No complaints about the base. Thin crust perfectly cooked. The issues started above. The "kebab" looked like something squeezed out of a tube - what you could see of it underneath the generous portion of salad- iceberg lettuce & tomato distributed on the top & with some cream sauce dressing. I kid you not cold dressed salad on top of a hot pizza. Bizarre. Who thought that one up? I was so full that ti really did me for the rest of the day otherwise I might be writing another review!

Chili con carne was delightfully presented. Came with sour cream; a salad of mixed green leaves, tomatoes, carrot, red onion, olives and picked jalapenos; a superb combination of different types of rice. The café latte had a perfect balance of flavors. My only criticism is that chili con cane was a bit too salty for my taste. This may be down to using a chlli paste? I have found these can be unbearably salty. If indeed that is the case & it may well be the case since I could detect no evidence of whole chilies neither fresh nor dried, I would strongly recommend that the chefs make this tweak – use fresh ingredients. Of course there are risks. Butts may get burned in the process but from my perspective this would be a price worth paying.

As usual, it's excellent dishes and very good value for money - especially if you take all 5 dishes :-)
The only downside was the wine 1) it was very expensive, 2 ) comes with a 2nd bottle, when we are almost finished with the dinner ...
They could have been so kind as to offer us a single glass instead.
Apart from that - the service were very good.

Stopped here with the wife. Just wanted some quick food and this was next to Mc Donald. What to choose fast food or Italian.
Italian it was. La Candela is not the best looking restaurant we been to, but what it misses in looks it more than gets in taste.
When yu sit in the reataurant you can here the italian from the kitchen.
The food is basic and great tasting. All you expect from good italian food.

I have frequeted here when on business trips in the area. It is just across the road from Herlev Kro Hotel. There is an underground walkway to take you there.
Food has always been really tasty and portions are huge, you could never leave feeling hungry. Mexican burger is super tasty with lashings of guacamole and a zingy relish, burger isnt your standard frozen stuff either, fat and juicy. Service can be slow at times but its worth the wait.
