Conestogas Restaurant

We had been going to Conestoga's for years. We stopped going once we felt the service had dropped and the restaurant needed a face lift. We gave it a try recently and our server, Brooke, was wonderful. Looks like the carpets have been replaced. I had the chicken stuffed baked potato. The salad that came with me wasn't that great, however, the potato more than made up for it.

Dunkin' Donuts

This is a regular Dunkin inside of a gas station. But they were fast and friendly and clean. Will be back as they had a bunch of tasty stuff. Got a couple of hot Latte's and a toasted bagel, typical Dunkin fare.

The Talented Cookie Company

Beautiful and delicious cookies, great coffee, cute cafe - they make their own syrup. The smell of the cookies and cupcakes baking was amazing. We stopped in for a little treat and we were so pleased. I highly recommend the baked goods and the salted carmel lattes.

This is a locally owned restaurant in Alachua with good service, and a nice selection of pizzas and Italian specialties.
We tried the penne with peas, bacon a red cream sauce. It was delicious and a very generous portion. The rolls which precede the meal are yeasty, warm and soft.
We will definitely return to try more menu items.

A few flavors left an alcohol sugar taste after sampling. Stuck with basic chocolate which had a frosty taste and added a few toppings. We both had about 9 ounces each, total was around $10. Friendly service, good spot for a yogurt treat.

I really love this place and hope that it does well. Louis and Yvonne Blair opened this shop recently and have further plans for it going forward, including a patio out back and dress up props for high tea parties. While this tea shop does seem aimed at women, there is a library/living room corner with bookshelves and wingback chairs--a great nook to read the paper and drink coffee, or peruse the many books. A large selection of white, black and herbal tea is available, as is a good strong coffee. Quiche, scones, cookies, a fruit plate or full 'high tea' with clotted cream are all available too. The floor has flush mount plugs, perfect for plugging in a laptop. Local artisans have offerings too, such as colorful quilts and jewelry. This is a great place for a small meeting, for a date, of for a group of friends to gather, relax and chat.

Main St. Pie Co.

Reviewed By burntweeniesandwich - Gainesville, Florida

My wife and I have been going to the Conestoga across the street from this restaurant for years and years. So quick, reliable and reasonable is the food there that we only just decided to go here at the last minute, as we were sort of craving some Italian, and I saw that they had Stromboli, which I learned to love in Philadelphia. Service was quick, we got seated at a table at the window looking out towards Conestoga. My wife ordered one of their lunch pizzas and I got the sausage and ham Stromboli. Both of these were excellent and reasonably priced, and large enough after salad and bread, to take some home. Later the owner came over and asked if this was our first visit there, and did we enjoy our food. I said yes, we really enjoyed the food, then I related how we typically just go over to Conestoga, but decided to give the place a try. With that the owner turned away with what looked like an expression of restrained disgust and walked back to the kitchen. Ooops! (my wife says maybe she was just being funny). Well, I definitely recommend the food here, reasonably priced, and the place has a nice atmosphere; but perhaps you should not mention the Conestoga.
