Ahlen (German pronunciation: [ˈaːlən] ( listen)) is a town in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is part of the District of Warendorf and is economically the most important town in that district. Ahlen is part of the larger Münster region, and of the historic Münsterland area. The nearby villages of Dolberg, Vorhelm and Tönnishäuschen are part of Ahlen, as well. The largest neighboring town is the city of Hamm to the southwest.

We had dinner yesterday at this wonderful cosy Italian restaurant. The menu was clear with all the traditionals in the starters, the pasta but also the carne and pesce dishes.
I had a wonderful vitello tonnato for starters, followed by a rich and creamy spaghetti carbonara. Somebody in our party had had a succulent tagliata, it looked to die for!. They have a barrel with Marsala and upon request you can have a bottle filled to take home. We will definitely be back here!
Friendly waiter, open, artless service. I highly recommend this place!

An einem schönen Sommerabend auf der Restaurant-Terrasse mit Blick auf den Skulpturengarten sitzen, ein gutes Glas Wein dabei und die Küche des Chagall genießen. Was will man mehr?

Come along and feel at home at the Ahlen. Many people feel at home in the bright and airy dining area. In terms of décor the restaurant has white pillars, warm colours, art on the walls, plants, beautifully laid tables and carpet runners. The aroma of cuisine from around the world wafts from the kitchen. The curry noodles and medallions of pork all'arrabbiata go down well with hotel guests and cyclists. If you have a sweet tooth you will love the Scottish Buttercrunch, which is vanilla ice cream with creamy caramel and almond brittle. The restaurant serves wine from around the world. The staff are polite and friendly. Try out the menu of the week.

The restaurant offers a good selection of food centered around typical German cuisine
Service is so so but works. I had the steak with pepper sauce. Expensive at 30 euros for what it was. The steak was well cooked and tasty but sauce was overpowering. A small appetizer was served first as compliment from the kitchen. Tasty salmon.
Atmosphere is boring, so would only use if I was in a rush and stayed at the hotel

Don't miss this opportunity. My first time in Ahlen, didn't know where to eat and this was close to hotel. Lucky break! Alone and nervous I walked in the front door to find a warm and inviting reception. The ambiance of the place made you fell welcome. Nice warm lighting, the glow from the wood oven was great.
I had the roasted lamb. Wow was this incredible. You will be glad you tried this.

Pizzen, Steak und Salate gut und lecker. Das Personal ist freundlich und Kinder sind willkommen. Ein Schnaps zum Schluss vom Haus rundet den Besuch ab. Wir kommen wieder.

Über Mc Donald's selbst muss man ja nicht viel schreiben. Dieser Mc Donald's ist durch seine günstige Lage besonders gut geeignet. Man kann schnell durch den Mc Drive fahren und sich sein Essen abholen.

Had dinner here with my best friend on my last night in Germany at the end of a three week holiday. The food was delicious, the best Turkish food I've tasted in a long while and the staff were very attentive. We shared a mixed starter plate which was really well presented and extremely moreish. As main dishes we both opted for Lamb combo dishes which were served with baked potato and a special tomato sauce. The meat was tender and just melted in my mouth. It was just a great ending to an absolutely amazing time in Germany.
An absolute must when visiting Ahlen.
