This is where you find the real Greek hospitality and can feel real Greek spirit. After giving them a chance for first night, we ended up going there all other nights. Really great team of young people so polite, so in service, so kind, that you get a feeling that you're the only guest in restaurant. And believe me, there can be a line waiting to be seated.
If coming to Kala Nera and neighborhood, make a visit here and believe me, you won't regret it.

As a regular visitor to Kala Nera I can say that Nirvana is one of the better restaurants in the village. I definitely recommend trying the vast variety of ready cooked meals (mageirefta) available as they are all very tasty and the portions are generous. Ask the waiter to take you inside and show you the ready cooked meals as they are placed in hot trays. You will get to see a nice variety of home-made Greek food.

I made my birthday dinner to Ibiskos and we really enjoy it. Even though we were about 20 people we were served on time and the dishes were delicious. The staff are all very polite and extremely helpful. I strongly recommend it. We will do it again.

Our go-to place during our week in Afissos. Food was good, prices standard, but the main asset of the restaurant was the owner Stavros. Very professional, friendly and funny at the same time. We were actually looking forward to meet him (but this could be also caused by the fact that we were there before high season, so he wasnt that busy)
From the food, I especially recommend Dorado fish (great and fresh) and Gavros.

Good restaurant located in a small village of Kala Nera. The staff was excellent, the food was tasty and prices were reasonable. The owner is a great man!
We weren't hungry and that's why we ate only zucchini, very tasty Greek salad, grilled sardines, tzaztziki and ordered a bottle of retina. We paid 20 euro and got an ice-cream as a compliment from the house.

we ordered 'wild boar' which is supposed to be a special dish for the restaurant. we also ordered vegetable pie and pork roll. they were all excellent. very good portions, delicious food fairly priced. I would definitely recommend the restaurant to anyone visiting Milies

we loved this place. when we visited it was so packed there were no seats available so we decided to take away a coffee and a dessert. the dessert was out of this world....chocolate and strawberries bar ...excellent ...the coffee was also very nice but the dessert was something not to miss ...I would definitely recommend this place

A very nice cafe with a very good service. Suitable for a coffee or a drink. Great variety in cocktails (for anyone who likes cocktails). Located in a beautiful spot, right in front of the sea. Its environment is very atmospheric, especially if you decide to enjoy your drink at night, surrounded by torches and lanterns.. ✿

We stayed in Afissos during the last 2 weeks of September and during that time tried 3 tavernas in the village. Glaros was the best in our opinion: the food was always HOT and the service was really friendly, with the waiter speaking good English; he also took time to describe the dishes to us in detail so that we really knew what we would be getting. It was a real family-run taverna, with parents doing the cooking and more than happy for you to go into the kitchen to inspect the specials for the day. The two other tavernas we visited served us with luke-warm food and there was just not the same atmosphere as there was at Glaros. Incidentally, if you are staying at Afissos and visit Kala Nera (just along the coast), then I would recommend the Ibiscus restaurant - it provides a more international cuisine, which might be welcome if you want a change from Greek food.
