Top 10 Ranches in Southern Poland, Poland

May 2, 2023 Leonarda Pillsbury

Marked by the Tatra (called Tatry locally) Mountains that form the country’s southern border with Slovakia, Southern Poland consists of three Viovodships (Provinces): Opole, Silesian and Lesser Poland (Malopolska). Many beautiful medieval castles are still found in the region, including Moszna in Opole and the massive 400-room Ksiaz in Silesia. Lesser Poland is home to bustling Krakow, the country’s third-largest city. The region’s mountains and green areas are perfect for outdoor adventure.

Avoid!

This is a place that pretends to be for hunters. This is for me the first thing that confuse me why to explore and in fact abuse this poor mountainous area as a court of shooting that is a source of good money for owner. The second thing are again animals - I do not thing that a wolf caged at around 150 sq m can feel ..... as a wolf (it is a group animal and with needs of plenty of area). There are many examples like that in so called mini zoo in the area. Look at the poor sad bizon sunken down in the mud. And how about lonely donkey with no land but a pond instead. Thanks a lot and farewell for ever. Hope somebody from authoriies will fix or forbid.

Bed and breakfast and horses

Reviewed By endrju_74

We didn't stay for too long in this place, unfortunately. And it seems to be very special, indeed. We've arrived very lat, nearly by midnight, and set off just after early breakfast. We had some communications with the hotel problems, so we didn't know, if they will wait for us that long, especially when we didn't indicated our arrival time at the time of the booking. But fortunately there's a bar open till late hours, and they had the key for us - still don't know, if their reception is open 24/7. Finding the bar/pub wasn't easy either in pretty much complete darkness, but we managed - it was in huge building, comprising of horse stables. So we were shown to our room, which was in different building. Room very nice and spacious. Morning welcomed us with some good views over surrounding hills. Breakfast nice and abundant, thou we felt a bit lonely in very large dinning room, as there was only two of us in whole place... We highly regret we didn't stay for longer, as we didn't get to meet the horses, but we will definitely go back there.

We expected much more after having a look at the hotel's website especially about the treatments. The establishment is dated. The hotel rooms are not close to the restaurant and bar, they are in a separate building. Rooms are big enough with a terrace, the carpet and terrace are not very clean anymore. Great choice at breakfast buffet. Good coffee and cakes at the bar.

Siolo Budy

Sioło Budy is a small village in the heart of Bialowieza Primeval Forest (9 km from Bialowieza). Here – on the huge glade surrounded by nature, we created our one of the kind guest house. It is open all year round and offers 80 beds in typical old fashioned houses. Siolo Budy is complemented by Restaurant “Osocznik”, “Great Hunter” Shelter and Skansen Museum from 19th century.

Beatiful horses, bad food

Reviewed By jowitab134

Wonderful horses, wonderful Mrs. Ania who has a great approach to children. Nice house, very quiet neighbourhood. We were only disappointed by the quality of the meals. After reading the description on the website, we expected slow food, local food, homemade bread / baked pastries, milk straight from the cow and a lot of fresh products, and it turned out that the food was from the local Biedronka supermarket, only highly priced. So we refused the catering offer.
