We've been here several times before and have enjoyed our food nearly every time. Last night was no exception. The service, the food, the time waiting in between courses was excellent. I, unfortunately, had to send back my desert as it had been microwaved too long but everything else was perfect. Our waitress, Louise, must get the god service medal, she really went out of her way to make sure our whole party was enjoying our evening.

Used to love this pub & visit regularly but this bar has steadily deteriorated in not only decor but mainly in disgusting customer service. Not very clean, sticky floors, dirty tables, filthy toilets, dirty glasses, result Dirty! Staff are extremely rude, have to be careful to to what you have been charged as seems to change every time that you are served for the exact same drinks. Any negative response from the customer is jumped upon. The what I thought was the pot man or I think supposed to be the bar manager? Is servery unprofessional & rude to all. Attitude is a servere problem here. Advice is to avoid & visit one of the more welcoming pubs.

Popped in for a quick drink on a weekday night. As to be expected, the pub was quiet, with a few locals at the bar. Barman wasn't particularly welcoming and for some reason, despite having many lager taps installed, only Heineken was available. There are many, many choices of pub in and around the high street, so this one needs to up its game.

Lovely restaurant, clean and comfortable and had a smashing atmosphere. The staff very friendly and helpful.Food was really nice but a limited veggie option range and the portions were quite small. We were told that the lunchtime portions were larger and one of our party (a large man, not fat may I add) left still feeling hungry. Can only compare with other establishments of a simular ilk and thought the value for money wasnt up to others standard for the same money.

I have been going this pub for years probably about 15 years infrequently, but every time had a really great time. Itâs always busy and has a nice selection of German and real ales. Along with main line lagers and spirits. The pub is very popular and itâs easy to see why. The bar staff are really friendly and are familiar and must have dedicated a lot if there working career working there, the customers are friendly, No blaring music you can a nice conversations. For an independent the prices are really competitive you can see coupes coming in for a night cap after a meal eat out itâs just a great unique place to go with no riff raft. Many thanks

Friends of ours have a relative in Whitstable and we offered to take them to see her overnight.As we wanted somewhere to eat in the evening, we left the choice to the relative. So she suggested this pub, just down the road.We were greeted well and left to choose our meals without being harassed in our choice. The menu was listed on a blackboard with a choice of about six starters and then a choice of about eight mains. Thursday was also steak night with a rump steak on offer at £9.95.We choose two starters, a baked Camembert and mussels in a cream and garlic sauce. These were shared between three of us and thoroughly enjoyed.I had a ribeye steak for my main, others had barbecue ribs, another had steak and ale pie, while the last person had the sizzling prawns.All the meals were excellent and left no room for desserts unfortunately. We were very pleased with our meals and the excellent service fro the staff. Well worth a visit.

A lovely pub with a nice atmosphere, delicious pub lunch and good selection of local beers. Hosted my gfâs birthday party here and couldnât have asked for better hospitality - cake, balloons and bunting laid on! A huge thank you from Maddie and all of us. The fish and chips was cracking!

Was so excited to be going to the Pearsonâs Arms for a birthday treat. Menu was sparse for a fish restaurant, very noisy not at all relaxing. Member of staff did tell us on booked arrival large party of 20 men, getting to end of meal, would be leaving soon. We had almost finished when they left! Food was ok but not exceptional, not good value for money. It is just a pub charging a fortune for average food.

We booked the restaurant purely on the reviews, and felt cheated that it didnât live up to them. The starters were average,and the roasts, which we went for, nothing like we were led to believe. Some Potatoes were burnt, the Yorkshire puddings were soggy, and everything was smothered in a gravy. Vegetables served separate, green beans, carrots and courgettes. Overall a disappointing Sunday lunch...but adequate.

Staff very friendly and food tasty which is the main basis behind most good reviews but we always leave here thinking we only go here because it's local and handy.The main reason is that it's overpriced for what you get. Starters particularly this time, my wife ordered chilli prawns for £7 and there were 4 prawns in it and not even large ones at that.I ordered the leak and potato soup which had about 4 spoonfuls in it and was quite frankly far too thick.Our friend's food also was tasty enough but inadequate starter portion sizes.Overall this pub serves tasty food which is the main thing but starters should be starters and not tapas sized offerings for £7 upwards.It's trying to be a posh pub but it's really a pricey pub.Up your portions and drop your starters down to £5 and it'll be about right.
