We had made reservations for Christmas Eve dinner with family. Excellent friendly service! Our waitress was greeted by other regular customers with hugs and well wishes for the holidays. The hostess helped where needed ( busy night). The restaurant was full .. every table was reserved. But- we in no way felt crowded or rushed. It was one of the most enjoyable holiday dinners out that I’ve experienced. There was a set menu with about 8 choices all of which sounded delicious and looked amazing coming out of the kitchen. My chicken was perfect. The others had steaks that melted in their mouths. The waitstaff was very attentive to our every need with frequent rechecks at our table. This was a perfect location for our Christmas Eve family gathering! Highly recommended!

Had a lovely meal while visiting friends in Crestwood recently, in Stephen's Green. The staff are very friendly, the ambience chilled, great outdoor seating area. Nice mixed choice from an not too extensive menu. Good choice of beer and wines. Fish and chips were great. Would love to have a local like this where I live!

Petes Park Place Tavern Restaurant

Borrowing from the song, I would have to say that Pete's in Bronxville is still crazy [good] after all these years. Back in my college days, mid to late 60s, Pete's (with the original Pete presiding!) was our usual weekend stop. No matter where we went or what we did, we polished it off with beers and burgers at Pete's. We returned recently after a 45+ year absence, found the "younger" Pete in charge, and enjoyed everything we always did about the place: beer and burgers. Still a great place.

Growlers Beer Bistro

Four of us went to Growlers Beer Bistro in Tuckahoe, NY, for brunch on a Sunday. The brunch menu is unique but limited. I was very pleased with my Country Bread BLT with Fried Egg. It was an open-face sandwich on delicious bread with melted cheddar and gruyere cheeses, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and topped with a fried egg. French fries came with the order. My daughter had the same item and liked it very much, too. My husband and son-in-law had cheeseburgers, not quite as unusual as my choice, but good nevertheless. There are 16 craft beers on the beer menu, plus beers in a can, and new and limited beers. Our samplings were very good. Growlers is in a converted industrial building. It has 2 large TVs and 3 smaller ones on the walls; it's a great place to watch a football game. Also on the walls are interesting photos. Our waiter was excellent. He did not write down our order, we requested several changes to the items on the menu, and everything came out just right. Check out GrowlersBeerBistro.com .

We recently chose The Quarry for a family lunch and was delighted by the experience. The restaurant was spotless, attractive decor and excellent service. The menu has a very good selection to choose from and the prices very reasonable. Three of us chose the grilled chicken panini sandwich which was delicious and comes with your choice of fries (regular or sweet potato). The 4th in our group chose the grilled veggie wrap and Cole slaw rather than fries - she was delighted by that selection. I highly recommend for lunch and the dinner menu looked awesome as well.

Inside is a very sophisticated, but welcoming atmosphere. I love all the different fish options, especially the different types of mussels. I highly recommend the trout. The fried oysters were delicious, but I was disappointed in the dipping sauce- no flavor. Every time I'm here I find myself wishing there were some sort of meat option as an appetizer though. Great drinks. Service is very slow though- after multiple times now.

I was shopping at Ridgehill and we decided to take a break and have lunch. We went to the Yard House. Place always surprises us. I love Nachos. Well their Nachos dish is big enough to feed five people and it was only me. That was my lunch. It had such flavor. Chicken pieces with melted cheese and lots of cilantro, fresh multicolored chips, oh I was in Nacho heaven. Excellent place. Great crowd.

Stopped in for a friend's birthday. As mentioned before, I prefer sitting in the front where there is more light. Course, you'll have to deal with the noise level being higher. Ordered the mussels and calamari. Felt the mussels were too small and would have taken less mussels at a medium size. The calamari was ok. My sliders were good since I asked for them rare and the fish and chips was very tasty. Server was attentive and checked on us regularly.

Great hot spot for casual bar and grill food. Wings, “tucked salad, and drinks are excellent and they offer “happy hour” deals. We liked the beer selection and cosmos. Seems they have repeat customers and private events which are a good sign. Friendly staff! Will definitely visit again.
