As a fairly local lad, I have only ever really attended this pub for a drink. On this one occassion however, I attended after being suit fitted for my best friend's wedding and we took his dad and the father-in-law to be for some lunch as they're getting on a bit. I will keep this fairly short because there is very little to say other than it's spot on. I ordered the Sausage, Mash, Onion Gravy, and Veg and it was delicious. Hot, tasty, and reasonably priced. Decent lining to the stomach too. I said this last time I wrote a review on the place back in 2017 that the food is great but I was limited in what I could say as I only had a sandwich. Even then, it put a smile on my face.If you've come here to see what the food is like, then I fully encourage you to go and give it a visit. If you've come on here to see what the place is like, I can honestly only say the same. Go and see.

went during week not very busy which i am surprised at as the food in here is really nice proper home made chips gammon that melts in your mouth cock and bull was so nice and curry is lovely they have a good choice of meals and there are 10 of us each trying different meals and each of us said how nice it was so we have been back 3 times in last 3 months

Although the restaurant was quiet, the atmosphere was nice and relaxed. The service was good and the staff friendly. The choice of menu was ok and the speed of service was also good.

We knew we would be visiting Parbold yesterday Saturday and thought we would take advantage and book the Windmill as we have family in the area and have eaten there before and always found whatever we have ordered to be very good ...be it lunchtime (snacks) or evening a la carte..So first of all the wine..very reasonable..chilled to perfection plus my husband said it was a good pint of San Miguel..(and he knows his stuff)..We ordered the Ciabatta with Goats Cheese and sticky caramelised onions...four pieces..we shared this...it was delightful....Our main courses were.Chicken filled with cheese and spinach on a bed of creamed leeks accompanied by asparagus and dauphinoise ..it was really divine.. I didn't want it to end...Thai green curry with rice and accomplishments..my husband thought it was superb, it is one of his favourites and he has eaten at the best Thai restaurants in Manchester....We had planned on sharing a dessert but unfortunately were too full...Plus the ambience was good, the staff were friendly and attentive..Now I would just like to add that the cost was very reasonable we have paid double for food near where we live in Manchester and it certainly has not been of that calibre..So thanks again we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and we will see you soon...â¦â¦â¦.Hello,Thank you so much for leaving us a review.We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your visit.We look forward to seeing you again soon.... remember to save room for dessert!

Great atmosphere, food and staff but a specials board should be in the place where you are seated with a menu. To have it in the bar where it cannot be seen is very inconvenient! This means you have to keep getting up to read it, maybe have it printed on paper and given to you with the menu?

After reopening due to a fire 5 months ago,My wife,Sister & myself,decided to see how they are ,we went on a rainy autumnal Monday afternoon,We found a table on entering,all the staff are pleasant & attentive,Pleased to say the menu hasnât changed,I had Fish ,chips & peas,( the fish was Large),Mrs had her usual ,Chicken Tallahassee,& Chips,(excellent).My Sister had Cock & Bull(Chicken & Beef Strips)& Chips.Pleased to say,The food was excellent.

Checked out Parbold for on here for Sunday lunch have tried many others within the area. Excellent table service very polite and efficient.Food was very good we all liked the lunch @ sweets on offer . Very well decorated inside had a good feel to the place we will go back soon . Went here on sunday 20 plus of us ....we were in a room all to ourselves as it was a 60th birthday dinner.....what wonderful meals every one had different and no complaints from anyone .....even children's meal were good ...will definitely be back here ...in the near future ..thanks again for a lovely afternoon and fabulous meal.....
