We did the Toledo-Segovia day tour and it was fantastic! Our guide Alfonso was so knowledgeable, professional, and friendly, he truly made the experience unforgettable. The bus was great, the schedule ran on-time throughout the day, and we were able to see all the best sites in the two cities while learning about their history. Our tour guide, although I'm forgetting his name at the moment (sorry!), was amazing! He translated the tour in both English and Spanish to meet the needs of all passengers, and was very thorough and patient while doing so. On the way to Segovia, he explained what the afternoon would look like and told different stories along the way. He has a great deal of knowledge of Segovia and all the history of the city. We started the tour at the Aqueduct, which was the highlight! Wow! It was amazing! After our tour guide gave us the background of the Aqueduct, we walked through the town, and he pointed out various shops and landmarks along the way, including the Cathedral, again explaining the history. We walked as a group until we got to The Alcázar of Segovia, a castle that looks like it's out of a Disney movie. Admission was included. From there, we could wander on our own and had time to shop a little and try some marzipan. One of the tips he gave us was to try the Purple Violet candies, so I had to buy some! They are small, shaped like flowers, and oh so pretty! And tasty, as well! This was a good tour, allowing us just the right amount of time to see what we needed to see. I would recommend it and would do it all over again if I could!

Javier is the ultimate guide — very personable, knowledgeable and such a delight. We visited every important destination in the beautiful city of Toledo with Javier explaining its history with so much knowledge and passion. The highlight was the visit to the beautiful Cathedral with Its stunning altar and treasure throve of art work and El Greco paintings. We could never forget El Greco’s “The Burial of the Count of Orgaz” housed at the Iglesia de Santo Tome. Javier’s very interesting explanation of the masterpiece’s background made our experience — three sisters alone in the viewing room — even more precious. Thank you, Javier, you are a brilliant guide!
