By chance we ended up a the most most amazing restaurant - Pizza del Forno in Van Buuren Road, Bedfordview. The service was great, with Thando being helpful, quick and making us feel at home. The Melenzane bake with brinjals was delicious. The staff and management (Tony) were exceptionally friendly and made sure that we had everything we need, PLUS those little extras. The atmosphere was cosy, warm and inviting, and the live music added that extra touch. This restaurant offers much more than just "eating out". It is excellent in all respects. Can't wait to go back to try the famous chicken.Highly recommended!

Mongos looks like an old office thats been slightly renovated as cheap as possible. The singer/dj/musician plays a random assortment of music too loud for the 15 guests present. The menu is of minimal options. I ordered a Halloumi salad which was depressing. The halloumi was overcooked and tasted like spiced rubber. My friends enjoy eating the prawns and chicken. I dont eat prawns but the chicken is quite tasty. A frangelico irish coffee is a good call. The bathroom is filthy and old. The restaurant is in dire need of a renovation and a little bit more enthusiasm. Every time Ive eaten here it hasnt been full at all.

Delicious lunch at Calisto Portuguese Restaurant at Food Court ......The Zone in RosebankWe were pleasantly surprised with the steak meal that we had at the Calistos.We ordered 4 Rump in an Oven Steak and enjoyed it tremendously. It was served with chips and vegetables ,,,,and enjoyed by us all.

This restaurant is very popular due to the excellent and reasonably priced menu.The prawns are prepared to perfection and the steaks tender and tasty.The service was fast,friendly and efficient. We enjoyed our evening and all in our party would recommend this excellent eatery.

We had dinner for 3 and whilst the food was average the service was shocking. Plates left uncleared, waiting ages for someone to serve and replenish our drinks. We ordered a sprite (can unopened) when asking to change it to a latte coffee was advised by waiter he would have to pay as it was already on the bill. Staff are not trained and appear to be short staffed.

The atmosphere is so at home and comfortable < and Bembom always smells so good.the bakery section has all delicious portuguese cakes and pastries and during december one can individually order your platters , cakes , portuguese yummy custard tarts and many many more yummy treats with coffee to offer. i always enjoy portuguese food and this is a place to relax catch up with friends and family the staff is so friendly and the managers will always come around and check up on you if you enjoying your meal i will defientely go back.

Recommended by our guide as a good, local style of cuisine. We arrived about 30 minutes before they opened, but the sat us and provided drinks and peanuts. Food arrived quickly and was very good. Once again outstanding experience. Vasco's did not disappoint us. I had fish (a silver-side something fish) and after spending a few years in Mozambique with the great variety of fresh fish and great restaurants, I was blown away with how fresh, tasty, moist, beautifully cooked and presented on a bed of vegetables mixed with baby potatoes done in the oven.....................wow so good. My partner had duck (we had this before) and it was just as amazing. I don't often go out of my way to promote restaurants but Vasco's gets 10 out of 10.

We usually try to eat local food while traveling, but we decided to go to Pigalle as it was closer to the airport and we had to catch a 1 AM flight. It was our best meal in South Africa.We had the Portuguese caldo verde, the prawns aguilho and the cod fish. Everything was delicious.
